Repercussions of seized gear

Hi everyone.

While I am still in the process of researching sources and whatnot, I would like your opinion on something.

I am 25 years old and am currently in school to be a teacher. If I order some gear and it gets seized, will that show up on a background check and possibly prevent me from getting hired?

I understand there is always a risk of it becoming seized, I just want to know how bad it could bite me in the ass later on down the road.

Thanks!

I have never heard of a seized shipment showing up on a background check. Your concern would be a controlled delivery and arrest which obviously would be on a background check. Order domestic from a trusted source and remove customs all together imo.

Gigalo's right, It won't show up on a background check. A letter will be sent to the address and name the package was addressed to. Ignore the letter. Don't check the little box that say's you give up your interest in the merchandise, since it's not yours you have no interest to give up.

Awesome, that's what I was hoping to hear. Thank you, it is much appreciated!

LE may keep a record of it. I've read cases (in Canada) where they document dozens of seizures in the years prior to making a controlled delivery. Of course, once you are busted, a history of numerous seizures could "bite you in the ass".
