But now a serious comment after my less serious ones: I definitely have considered this, and if I was a powerlifter / true strength athlete I would be concerned about the interference effect on hypertropthy using this too close to weight training, especially.If SLU is an aerobic exercise mimetic, it causes a shift from type 2 to type 1 muscle fibres. Type 2s are the big strong ones. Type 1s are marathon runners.
Might have to prioritize: growing bigger stronger muscles or losing body fat. I mean, we're kinda all in that boat.
But, I am not, and I'm actually okay with losing a bit of fast twitch / top end strength in exchange for better cycling endurance. So, I would kind of welcome the change if it happens? I've always been known as extremely "quick twitch" something that made me special as a defensive lineman; I'm hoping I have a few extra "quick twitch" fibers to spare.
