I know a lot of you don't like mrp's or bars but for those of you who find them useful, I found a great tasting one with a good macro profile.

Pure Protein Revolution Chocolate Peanut Caramel.
280 cals with 32 grams of protein and 9 grams of fat (0 grams trans fat).
The carbs are not an issue for me, but the "net" carbs are only 3 grams.
Still don't know if I buy into the "net" carb counting thing....I'd say the 26 grams of (gross?) carbs they list is closer to the number you carb counters should pay attention to.

Just thought I'd let ya'll know.

I'm gonna eat another.

i always go with abb drinks for on the go, or isopure, but the im to poor to keep it up, plus they fill me up, feel bloated for a half hour, wary of bars cuase of taste and carbs, but this looks ok, lemme see if i can get it down, thx bro, ill give it a shot

i JUST BOUGHT 100 Pure Protein bars off of EBAY. got them for 50 bucks including shipping. EXP dates have allready passed but they have a shelf life of 2yrs after. ALl the dates are in 03' So they should be good. I figure at .50/bar i cant go wrong!

and to think i would have never looked for Pure protein bars if it werent for you Occam..thanks bro

Alcohol sugars

For Carb Counters:

These alcohol sugars that they do not include in the net carb is BS. They claim they are not absorbed due to their size.

First of all, eat a lot of alc. sugars and you will have the sh*ts. Next, they are absorbed. Check your blood sugar, then eat one a bar with alcohol sugars, and check your blood sugar at 30 minute intervals. Watch it rise.

Go to any diabetic site and due a search for alcohol sugars, and read what they say.

The only one claiming these alcohol sugars are not absorbed are the manufactures that use them.

They are nothing new, and have been around for years. If you want non-absorbed carbs stick with Splenda.

Im not flaming Pure Protein bars, I love them. Just giving a heads up on alcohol sugars.
