Protein Powders

Optimum's Whey is great, although it is extremely thick with milk.

Snowblind,
Have you ever tried Ground Turkey in place for Ground Beef?

I don't know how you can say that about optimum whey protein, you mix it with milk and it tastes like chocolate milk.

Milk bloats me up like a balloon, so I have to drink it with water. I have been splitting my whey proteins (right now I still have a 5lber of Opt. Nut. and Ult. Nut.) with Grow and it's been alright. Thanks again for the feedback from everyone, I'm gonna check out some of your recommendations as soon as I finish up the wheys I have.

I'd have to agree that many Brands taste like crap. That's why I've just looked for ways to alter the taste, rather than looking for one that taste's good to begin with. For chocolate (the majority of what I use), I add sugar free nestle quick. I mix 1/2 water & 1/2 soy milk (cuz I get bloated too) & the nestle quick... turns out not too thick (cuz it's 1/2 water), but very chocolate. It's a lot more tolerable that way. It turns out about the same consistency as normal nestle quick in milk- and very similar tasting.

For strawberry, I buy the sugar free (or all natural) strawberry or rasberry preserves. Add a few spoonfulls of that and it tastes very good, actually. I tried adding real strawberrys, but their flavor isn't strong enough to overpower the protien. Only the preserves work well for this.

I have never found a way to make Vanilla taste good. I quit trying.

Hope this helps...

Nlarge is good. I just hate mixing protein drinks though. I guess if I want to look like Joker I have no other choice:)

I'd do a comparison between ion exchange and micro/ultrafiltration. Also, try to get the least amount of carbs and fat.
