Protein powders that aren't spiked

I got sucked into the cheap Walmart brands like 5star and body fortress for price. I switched to dymatize iso 100 and am happy now paying a few extra bucks.

Out of curiosity, since I'm more than a little skeptical of all the hyping of various ingredients as extra pure or organic or grass-fed or whatever, and I certainly don't care what California thinks is safe or not, yet I want quality protein - so, in your experience, going from allegedly low grade to high grade protein powder, what was the experience and results?

I just a matter for me now knowing what im getting. What the difference was? Perhaps my gains on lower grade protein would've been better had i of been getting consistent, quality protein that actually lived up to label claims. I will be keeping an eye out now for changes. Better gains, digestion etc.

Fair enough, I'm just wondering what the incremental benefit is from middle of the road powder to the primo stuff. Less gas, better shit, more gainz... where does the placebo effect from thinking that you're eating ambrosia end?

I actually don't think protein quality was the issue here. They just were straight jipping you on it. Your 50g protein shake really only had 30g ya know

Yeah - but I wonder if that's all there is to it - all this marketing pitch about various additives, enzymes, and lack of whatever might be considered dangerous, and so on, is it all BS?

What are the criteria that TRULY make a difference? Anyone seen any studies based on actual results? Clearly grams of actual protein must be held constant.

I just ordered 5lbs of Myprotein Impact Whey, just because the price was good, and it's rated well on Labdoor, but is it really superior to the Syntha-6 I'm using now?

Too much snake oil in the supps business - reminds me of my girl's interest in various cosmetic "serums" whatever the fuck that is, other than expensive.

Yea but that's about all we can do. Look for lab testing that we consider credible and make the best decision we can based off that information. Then see how the product treats Us in terms of gains Etc

Thanks for the true nutrition site. I'll have to make an order there soon.

Especially if there are any sales going on. Does anyone know if they run holiday sales or anything?

For comparison I have been on 200 grams of pure egg white protein powder with enzymes my entire cycle and put on 10-15lbs lean muscle in 14 weeks.

I can not believe one of these super protein powders are going to be so much better that I would use them. I am putting on as much muscle as the average Person does in a cycle in this amount of time. My protein powder has one ingredient.

So if I switch to a isolate would I blow up like a pro? No.......

I use both protein powder and egg whites.

Protein powder is also good when you travel, egg whites, not so much.
