Silicone rubber generally has good compatibility with many pharmaceutical excipients, but is known to be more permeable to organic solvents (including benzyl benzoate) than butyl rubber. This can lead to issues like swelling or absorption of organics and potentially leaching of siloxanes into the solution, especially with high benzyl benzoate concentrations
