Post cycle observations( Demarco)

Whats up bros? Just wanted to share some things I noticed after my last cycle. First some stats for all you new guys who's names I've never seen until the format change. 39 years young, been training for 16 years the first 12 where without gear. Pre cycle weight 235lbs,5' 10",BF% 12, could do reps with 315, calfs 18 1/2, arms 18". Have done about 7 cycles over the last 4 years and made decent gains. Cycle lenths where 8-12 weeks and dosages where under a gram per week.

Now for the good stuff, my last cycle I ran for 5 months straight using 500mg test e and 500mg eq per week. My weight went up to 260 lbs and strenght was out of this world.
It's been 3 months since my last injection and my weight is at 250 lbs but heres the crazy part, when I work out I still get a pump like I'm still on!!! I mean I just blow up and look like I'm loaded!! I have never had this happen before, I would normaly keep the gains for about a month or two and then notice a change. Not using any supplements but protein powder and not really watching my diet like I do when on. I did take two weeks off after my cycle because all that heavy lifting takes it's toll on your joints. I also dropped my workout days down to 3 per week instead of 5-6 when on.

The bottom line is this, I believe that longer cycles allow you to keep more of the gains you made than a shorter cycle would.

You MUST cut back on workouts when off cycle.

Build a good foundation before starting AAS and learn how to train and listen to your body, I think gains made on AAS can be kept up to a point if you learn to TRAIN right before you use them.

Change your routine after an AAS but still test the limits of your strenght, lite sissy movements should not be the focus of your workouts but still do benches, squats, deads, rows and chins.

Hope this helps someone out or maybe I'm just a freak of nature and in that case don't hate the player, hate the game! LOL

Good Post Bro!! Its good to see someone smart about post cycle. I think it has alot to do with a long cycle and smart training. Rest and recovery time so important when off. Most people train the same and eat bad after a good gain cycle

It is usually the same for me bro - I always get a little stronger after my cycle has been over a while - I figure it is my rising natural test kicking back in.

Also I agree about what you said as to working out while off. If you can stay in the game mentally while off the body will respond.
And I also believe in a little longer cycle will lower doses for longer lasting gains.

Five months is a little to long for me but I agree with everything else you said up there. Well written post bro.
 
Forgot to mention that the only unwanted side effect I got was acne about mid-cycle. I started using one of them acne body washes and it cleared up. Did not use any anti-e's during cycle, I don't think you need them if your not prone to gyno and you watch what you shove down your piehole. Being on a cycle is no reason to eat everything you see, unless you want to get fat and look smooth. It's been my experience that if you eat clean, you can eat more cals and stay fairly lean and still gain muscle mass.
Sex drive did drop off a bit after cycle I guess you could say, but in reality it just went back to normal. Durning this cycle I was having sex with my wife every night, after the cycle it went back to every other night or three times per week. She did notice the change but she is the one who told me that it just went back normal, she knew I was on because I told her. I'm the man and I don't sneek and do AAS cycles.

Hey what was your recovery like and how long did it take. I'm 40 so I did not want to shut my balls down that long ......worried about recovery!
 
Recovery.......hum.......well I was tired for about a month afterwards and slept a lot. I noticed durning the cycle that my sperm was low( don't ask me how) although my balls did not shrink that much. All I used post cycle was clomid for 21 days at 50mg per day. I don't buy into the school of thought that says use 300mg per day and work your way down.
After such a long cycle I thought recovery would be very hard, but it was no worse than any other cycle. Getting my boy up was no problem at all and I think that longer cycles are the way to go from now on.
