Hey everyone. I posted on here a couple mos ago saying I had a UTI, and wondering if steroid use could've caused it. Well, I went to the doctor about a month ago, as things didin't even even a little better, and he told me I had a prostate infection. So he put me on cipro for 15 days, after that 15 days it seemed to get a tiny bit better, i asked him for mroe, he gave me another 15 days. Now I'm done, and it is still just as bad. I had a doctors appointment again tomorrow, in which im scared there is nothing he can do. I read alot about it on the net, and it seems like there is really no cure. I'm only 20 years old, and from what they tell me very very rarely does some one as young as me get one of these. I'm thinking that the steroids could've possibly caused this? Please help me witht hese questions, It'd be really appreciated!

1. Should I tell him I was on steroids?

2. Couldve they caused this?

3. I know how stupid it is to juice and not do pct, but I've done 3 cycles. One winny for 4 weeks, 50 mg eod. One Test E for 7 weeks 500mg wk (human grade) W/ Tren E 500mg. 4. Test E 500 mg ew EQ 500mg ew (both UG).
Can coming off with no pct or anything be part of what i'm feeling? Maybe my T levels are low, and its not prostatis? When I urinate, I never fully empty the bladder, having to wake up 3-5 times easily every night to piss, and pissing during the day atleast once every hour. Is there anything any one can recomend????

I will never use them again, as I know i used them very irresponsibly, but right now I really need help, as this is crazy, and affecting me at work, and my sex life, and making me depressed. Please please help me. Thanks.

1. You should tell him. Look, you've done a few cycles, seen the error of your ways, and now you're coming to him for help. You doctor would be a first-class jerk not to help you. Just tell him what you told us right here.

2. I don't know what a UTI is so I can't answer that. It might be important to the doctor's diagnosis, so that's why you should come clean with your doctor.

3. You may indeed have a prostrate infection. They can test for that. What they do (or at least, what they used to do, back when I had one in 1990) is reach up your rectum and push on the prostrate, causing some fluid to come out your penis. Then they take that sample and test it. Sounds like you need to see a urologist.

Don't worry. There are medicines to treat prostrate problems or whatever you have.

First, I am happy to hear you have decided to no longer take steroids.

If they compromised your immune system, then they could have indeed increased your risk of an infection ANYWHERE.

Because the P-R-O-S-T-A-T-E is so poorly vascularized, it is difficult to build sufficient concentrations of antibiotics. Thus antibiotic therapy often must be undertaken for months on end.

I am confident your doctor will successfully treat your condition.

I got my bloodwork back. Beleive it or not, the doctor said my test levels are actually high, which we both thought was strange since I never did pct, but hey I'm not complaining. I have the urologist appt on Friday, I will keep ya updated.

Hey swale, do you think it could possibly be from high dht? and maybe i have an enlarged prostste and not necisarily prostatitis? I'm thinking proscar may help me? What do you think? that is what im going to ask the urologist for! thanks for ur help so far, i appreciate it.

He said he doesn't think so, as if it were an enlarged prostate the symptoms would not have came on so strong. He had me take some more tests. Something interesting I was reading is that alot of cases of prostatitis are from chronic pelvis pain syndrome, That is where you clench ur pelvis, when you are stressed out, sort of like how some people lock they're jaws, or other people get head aches, there is a dr who says its like a headache in the pelvis. So the last two dyas I've been focusing on not clenching it so to speak, and my job is very stressful, so I've been focusing on not letting it get to me, and beleive it or not I've been feeling probaly 50 percent better. So I'm thinking that the one dr (who I read th article from on the internet), may be right. He also reccomends physical therapy from therapists who specialize in the pelvic floor, but insurance wont cover it, as its not a common treatment. We will see, it may just be the cipro finally starting to help, or it may even be in my head. I will keep ya posted, thanks alot swale.

Happens to me for a short period of time after every cycle. I always thought it was getting rid of all the water weight from cycle. Try a bottle of "natural bladder". It is a few herbs that work very well. Good luck!!!

That is VERY interesting. Thank you for sharing it with us.

This syndrome may affect many others as well.

Hey, just posting an update. I was doing good for a few days there, and then starting Sunday night, it just got real real bad again, almost at its worst. Last night it started getting a little better, and I also started getting a bad cold. This morning I woke up with a bad cold, and it wasn't bothering me as bad (althought having the cold still sucks). I'm thinking that maybe having the cold is taking my nervous system from focusing on the prostatitis?

Another thing I'm thinking, and I would like your opinion on, is this. They say that alcohol and caffeine are very bad for this condition. When I was on the antibiotic, I was drinking atleast 2 times per week, and probaly averages about a can of soda a day. I was also drinking about 2 ripped force or speed stacks per day, which are energy drinks with synepherine and caffeine. They say that its very hard for antibiotics to get in the prostate, do you think its maybe possible that these things made it harder for the antibiotic to kill the infection? It did get a little better when I was on them, maybe 60 or 70 percent. Some one else made the suggestion to me that maybe the cipro helped because antibiotics have anti inflamitory effects.

Swale, I appreciate the help so far, just wondering your opinion on this. I have another uro apt tomororw morning at 8am, so I will ask him too. Thanks alot.
