Path to a 500 wilks

Workout today was,

2x4 squats @ 405
2x4 comp bench @ 295
2x8 nautilus lat pulldown +1RP
2x8 seated row +1RP
3x8 weighted dips
3x12 tricep pushdown +1DS


Body is feeling good. Don't know if it's the extra calories or the reduced volume/intensity on the big lifts this week. Regardless, it feels good to feel/look good.
 
Weight today was, 197.2

Workout was,

3x4 squats @ 425
3x4 comp bench @ 305
3x10 nautilus lat pulldown
3x10 nautilus row
1x8 weighted dips @ 135
2x8 weighted dips @ 90
3x15 tricep pushdown +1ds
3x12 cable lateral raise +1ds

Was pleasantly surprised by the sets of dips with 3 plates. Never seen anyone do that in person before. Honestly I don't know if I've ever seen anyone rep out 2 plates but there aren't a whole lot of super strong guys that go to the gyms where I live. I'm guessing if my gym wasn't so weak I'd probably at least see 2 plates sometimes.

3 plates weighted dips, damn. I’ve seen maybe one guy do that in my life. It was in a military gym and this dude was about 225lb ish. 5’7” -5’8” As a teen he blew my mind with what he could lift. Now looking back on it he was doing 315 for sets of 5 or 6 and I realize I’m right there a little behind that but now way I could do the dips. He had T. rex arms and a barrel chest. Had to be how he was built

I never even see people do them. But I figured it's because I'm not at a hardcore powerlifting or bodybuilding gym. Just figured 3 plates must be decent because the few people I've tried to do weighted dips with were all pretty lean and could bench at least 3 plates. One couldn't even do a 1 plate dip, and the other two guys struggled to reach parallel and still do reps.

3x8 leg curls
4x12 preacher curls
3x12 ripe hammers curls +1ds

Pretty decent day. Even got to finish it off with a sexy college girl doing db flies right in front of me with half her ass showing. You gotta love it when the man upstairs throws a dog a bone.
