Hello Meso-rx Family,

I am new here but have been lurking for the past couple of months, just being a sponge and learning. I'm having a great time spending hours upon hours here, and super grateful for this comunity.

I am into nutrition and fitness as many members are but i think I can bring some unique perspective over time. I have been an OMAD carnivore + extended fasting enthusiast for the past four years, and recently started my TRT journey. This has led me to becoming more "enhanced-curious".

Thinking of embarking on a modest cycle in a couple of months, for 16-20 weeks (300 test weekly + 200 primo weekly + 4-5 iu hgh daily + 1 - 1.5 mg reta weekly), to lean out a bit more and add more mass. I plan to be my own n=1 on this, as not many here are doing omad carnivore and understandably so, given the BB focus and the proven diet that goes with it. Not here to judge ever. Rather, im here to contribute from a different view some might find useful for those that are 40+.

Current stats: 48 yr / M / 176 lbs / 10 - 12 % bf / omad carnivore past 4 yrs, keto for 10+ yrs prior)

Next goal: 180 lbs @ 8% comfortable year round

Next-next goal: lean gain forever

Current stack: TRT (30 mg daily) since early August / hgh (4 iu daily, early morning) / 1.5 mg Reta weekly (.5mg M/W/F)

Diet: ruminants / eggs / sardines / butter most days, in a 40-45 min window (typical omad: 1 kg ground beef + 1 tin sardines + 4 large eggs + 60 g butter = around 2700 calories). Range from 0 (when extended fasting) to 5000+ calories per day.

I spent a lot of time training how to eat a large bolous of food, similar to competitive eaters. This is where i see people fail doing omad. They are not trained to eat that way and end up eating way less than your body requires.

Dumb. You started out good with the reading and learning bit. Then you wrote that and it makes me doubt if you read or learned anything. This crap gets shot down every time someone proposes it for a first cycle.

Start with a test only cycle. 250-400. Run it for 12 weeks. Check your e2 3-4 weeks in, make sure that's no going haywire. Compare your bloods before and after. Track your weight/fat/lifts. Be amazed at your progress.

Now that you have a baseline, add the primo or hgh for the next cycle. Reta is fine to start whenever.

Appreciate your suggestion. It is a sound advice that i expected to hear. Thought about test only initially and haven't ruled it out or anything. Blood panel in the nex week or so will guide me here ultimately.

What aspect of your training warrants this? Why do you need to suddenly jump from where you are now, to running 4 compounds? How long have you been training? What does your logbook look like?

Pick one dude. You cant drive backwards and forwards at the same time. Not at the level you are at right now.

Thanks man. Appreciate you taking the time to provide some feedback. I understand i may be on an island on this journey, but i am very aware of those teying to impart proven knowledge and wisdom.

Just started 500mg test weekly for 10 weeks and 50mg Winstrol daily for 8 weeks.

46 Male. Not in TRT, trained enhanced in my early 20's. Back to see what I can do ay my age and fitness levels.
I weight train 3 days a week, do low intensity cycling in the rest days and do a proper long social MTB ride in Sundays.
All training is done at 4am and fasted.

You are not alone in the island ️

Thanks for chiming in and good to know there is at least one other carnivore on Meso. I would be interested to know how your cycle-journey unfolds. I'm still waiting to get my comprehensive blood panel done befor upping Test or adding compounds. Just going with trt + hgh for now, i can already feel the recovery happening much quicker.

Good luck to you and hope you achieve your desired physique at the end of your cycle.

oh I have been meaning to ask, how did you manage to get onto TRT as a carnivore? Usually our test readings are way to high for that? Or do you have some other medical condition that warranted that?

I tracked it for the past couple of years, like 6 or so readings, to validate that my numbers were at the lower end of the reference range. Oddly enough my energy level is good and i dont have the typical low T symptoms. I am approaching 50 and determined that the numbers won't improve much, then decided to go for optimizing.

ok so self diagnosed and self medicated basically?
So being a carnivore as well how do you feel about the fact that test is mixed with MCT or Rapeseed oil? :)
I was not impressed but heck what can I do lol.

Same, lol! I started with GSO not knowing, then shifted to MCT shortly after (best choice for us, even if not animal based). As for the self TRT, i was with clinic for a minute then quickly realized i can manage way better as long as i kept up with what my blood panel is telling me.
 
I inject daily and did not notice anything until about 2 weeks into it. Where i noticed the biggest difference was in the recovery post workout moreso than strength increase initially. Now noticing on both fronts. That plus on the mental front, im generally a lot more relaxed and chill. Metabolically I was already decently fit going into it but you do have more energy in general, and i think nutrition partitioning improves. I can also eat more with some increase in my food intake.
 
Do you just straight pin that daily or how does that actually work? Where do you inject it? I go for the glutes but I am not ambidextrous so its not a perfect science :)

Subq to upper glutes, no issues thus far. I use a mirror to wipe down and jab.
