If this is reviving an old thread, apologies, but better to tie my question to a thread that already has good info.
As stated earlier, AAS doesn't reduce the body's cortisol output but down-regulates the receptors for it.
As a result, when going off cycle, during the PCT phase, as the receptors come back on line, the body is suddenly hit with a wave of cortisol - which is catabolic - thus various meds (including RU-486 - the abortion pill) that are of use. These meds aren't good to run continuously, and cortisol within reason has good properties too. Kinda like estrogen, and most things probably, it has a range.
Here's the question, especially for those of use in true TRT mode, which implies we're like the upper range of the "normal" genpop, is there anything worth taking in the anti-cortisol area?
My TRT doc recommended some herbal concoction, that allegedly helps "control" cortisol, but I'm suspicious. - so what do ya'll do?
