The edema is overall, but my legs and lower body in general probably hold more water than my upperbody. However, sometimes my abdomen swells so much it looks like I'm pregnant, or like I have a GH gut.

what did your doctor say about it?

The lady was an idiot and told me that carbs will make me retain water. I told her, "Yes, I understand that. But I've cut out carbs from my diet before and still retained a bunch of water." She didn't have an answer for me. She has my results now, and I havent even gone to see her because she most likely dosen't really know how to interpret them. They told me she will have her staff call me when they can schedule me.
I most likely need a new doctor, but honestly none around here know what the hell is going on.

That is unfortunate.
The other thing that controls water is albumin which is made in the liver.
ALB is part of the basic blood chem test.
You need liver enzyme tests also.
EVERY doctor knows this. SURELY
PM me your labs and post them.

I'll call my doc for them tomorrow, I lost my copy of those. They were done about 4 months ago. Albumin was normal though, I know I got it tested and it was fine.
