Numbness in hands from hgh

I've been on Humatrope at 2iu for about 8 months now and just recently within the past month both of my hands have been going to sleep and two of my knuckles on my right hand hurt like hell in the mornings . If I sleep on either side my arms experience the numbness also . These sides are causing some very sleepless nights . I have a few friends that this has happened to also and have read on several sites of these side effects from humatrope . My questions are , Does this numbness come from a circulation problem and is this harmful ? Is there something that I can do to eliminate this problem , besides getting off the growth ? Thanks !

From what I read it's a sign of cartilage growth. The numbness comes from the nerves being impinged. Try lowering the dose or coming off if that doesn't work.

Thanks Freedom Fighter , I sure am hoping that I will not have to come off . I'm basically at a pretty low dosage now , a shame to have to lower dosage . I'm wondering if this is something that will clear up eventually ?

Numbness in the hands and joint pain are common for gh...The numbness over extended lengths of time can lead to permanent damage but thats a while off IMO...I get numbness in the hands due to a nerve in the elbow being pinched, and for that a simple release (mild surgery) fixes it up...

I certainly appreciate your responses . As bad as I hate to I guess I'll back off as you say . I'll talk to my endocrinologist about this Monday . I have an appt to get my lab results for the quarter . He is the one that has presrcibed the gh for me along with test at 200 mg eow. Does pretty much everyone that takes gh experience this side efffect at some time during therapy ? I'm also holding some serious water on the wrist and in the hands in the a.m. .
Swale , do you believe that if the symptoms are tolerated and overlooked that serious damage will occur ? By cutting back do you mean dropping back on the dosage or discontinuing until symptoms are gone ? Thanks !!!

The one time I tried HGH I started at 6ius ed. Experienced water retention in the hands, wrists, ankles, and feet. Also wrist pain. When I backed off to 2ius ed all that disappeared. See what your Endo says.
