Hello! I’m not particularly good at this, but I’ll endeavor to rise to the occasion. My name is John. I live in the SW somewheres in the US of A. I’m a middle aged union pipe fitter. I still lay pipe on occasion, but not as much as I used to. My trade is harsh, unrelenting. Over the years, I have beaten myself up, down, off, on, sideways…every single day. Now, I’m left completely worn, raw, spent. It used to be that from the moment I awoke, I’d be ready to go. Start my day standing proud and tall, mind and body elevated, chompin’ at the bit, locked and loaded, ready to engage enthusiastically, give it my all, full send, pop off…take a short break then get up and back at it again. Nowadays, not so much. I’m struggling with most everything to the point where it’s noticeable to everyone that knows me. Problem is, I’m hard headed; I refuse to believe that my best years are over. I’m sick of hearing from others that this is how life works…that I should come to grip it, just let it go, go gentle in to the good night. Oh hell no! Fuck all that! (Forgive my language, it can’t be helped sometimes).
I am here to recapture the magic of youth and luckily for me, we live in an era where somebody has already scienced the shit out of the what, when, why, and how to fix whatever ails you. I am here cuz I put more trust and faith in the knowledge, experience, grit, and willpower of men and women who go above and beyond, day after day. I am here for the camaraderie and fellowship. I am here to get after it…and for the occasional dick joke. All puns are welcome.
