Lurked long enough, have some real questions these days.

Background:
-Mid 30s
-highish RHR (high 80s to low 90s)
-Former fat ass, down from 270 to 200 currently.
- lazy ass sedentary life style/computer job.
- Reta @12mg for nearly a year now

Just got bloods done with a trt clinic, turns out I’m not bad off- 729 total and 89 free. Clinic says if I can get under 650 they’ll see me.

Currently sleep deprived, blasting pastries all day in an attempt to get a low T result. Fairly certain I can make the cut, they are giving me a retest today.

With my decent baseline levels- should I even bother with getting test from a clinic? (Will be doing clinic before any UG sourcing/self admin)

I’m trying to boost up to the higher end of the test range and start being more active in hopes that some results can encourage me to get more serious.

Is this retarded? Main concerns are going to be getting off test down the line. Haven’t heard a ton of consistent information on returning to proper levels after use.

Anyways, glad to be a new member- thanks in advance.

Is this retarded?
Yes

Completely backwards

You are chasing a drug because you think it will do something for you that you are unwilling to do for yourself

Stop being lazy. Your testosterone isn't your problem. TRT isn't the cure. You are hyper focused on micromanaging something that is not contributing to your problems. Put your attention elsewhere. Take the money you would spend on TRT and go get a coach. Learn about nutrition.

Just in this post alone you told us that you are:

Sedentary
You eat pastries
You are overweight
You aren't sleeping
You are not suffering from low testosterone
You haven't tried being more active yet
You do not have a training plan
You don't know what you are doing

TRT is not the treatment plan for any of those things

Go work hard, learn how to train and your use of the word pastries made me puke a little bit.

What I did was higher coach, got on a deficit, lost 50lbs (200lbs to 150lbs), naturally. Educated myself on months of research, readings , YouTube videos and now working with other groups and men who are experienced enough to guide me on my path. Some enhanced and some “natural”. It’s been a hella of a ride but now feeling more confident in what I am doing. Thanks.

You gotta make your own introduction thread dude

Well to be clear I’m only sleep deprived and eating pastries to crash my T, but your comment is otherwise correct.

senseless lunacy

Fix the problems that are evident instead of creating new ones.
So basically, you are saying is there isn’t a measurable difference in getting test up to 1000+ from where I am in terms of motivation, energy and results? I’m fully aware that lifestyle changes are in order, but to be blunt, this is a forum for people that use drugs.

I get it you feel compelled to lecture me, and probably for good reason but humor me-
What is the difference between using them when starting or later?

this is a forum for people that use drugs.

This is a harm reduction forum. IF the people here decide they have a WARRANTED use cause for PED's, we help each other do it in the safest and most informed way possible

What is the difference between using them when starting or later?

That's like a kindergartner asking Vince Lombardi why he can't just start playing for him now since he's totally going to eventually.

IF you find yourself in a position where you have completely maxed out your training, your log book isn't progressing, you have maximized your nutrition, you have maximized your recovery... AND you still demand additional progression and results....that's where using a PED comes into play.

But you have done nothing..... you even intentionally worsened your condition so you could try to have access to a drug. This is drug user mentality. Not PED mentality. A lack of drugs is not your problem. A lack of discipline, knowledge and effort is your problem.

Like everything in life, there are steps to take. You haven't taken the first step. Jumping to the last step isn't going to magically fill in everything in-between.

If you had a broken project car sitting in the driveway with a tarp over it for years and years...... and you finally decide you want to do something with it................is step 1 pouring in racing fuel even though you haven't even taken it down off the blocks yet?

Get down off the blocks first dude

You aren't even puttering around the block yet let alone racing

Get a coach. Learn nutrition so what they tell you makes sense. Get active. Get involved in an activity. Not crossfit. Not hyrox. Make plan. Create a regimen. Focus on progression. Keep a training log book. Weigh all your food on a food scale and track it in an app.

Understandable thanks
