25M, 205lbs, 5”10 , 79.5pg/ml free test, 536 bf/dl total test, igf-1 156, z score -0.4,

Have been on Reta since 12/15/2025 and have lost 20lbs, Looking into getting lean and retaining as much muscle as I can, my goal weight is 175, and looking to learn as much as possible.

Obese people usually have significantly lower IGF-1 levels and obesity decreases GH production.

Remember that if insulin is high, GH will be low. Insulin blunts GH. So if you are eating too much, and constantly have high insulin circulating in your system- you are going to kill your GH production. Especially snacking at night. Night is when most of our GH is made. If you eat late before you sleep....your body is going to produce insulin instead of GH

At 25, I wouldn't worry about adding GH

I would get healthy, get active, keep a proper food plan, follow a well designed training program.

Fixing those things will probably fix other things too.


If after doing that for a few years you are still low, then maybe add GH at 30.

But max out your other possibilities first.


Keep in mind that IGF isn't the tell all. There are people who inject 10, 12 iu's of GH every day and don't have an IGF above 300
