Long time lurker, would like to finally introduce myself and start posting regularly about training and cycle updates.
Male, 31, about 2.5 years of gear usage, 15 years of training.
Played sports through high school and lifted before practice, college was 4 years of bro lifting(chest, back, arms, shoulders, no legs) got into powerlifting for a few years, currently I fight mma at the amateur level and have dabbled in 2 strongman competitions between fight camps.
I have competed between 135-170lbs in mma, 148-170 in powerlifting and weighed in high 70s-low 80s for my strongman competitions.
Current best lifts:
Conv. Deadlift - 585
Sumo - 535
Low bar squat (haven’t done in years) - 415
Cambered bar box squat - 500
Straight bar bench (haven’t done in years) - 300
Football bar - 285
Trap bar deadlift - 635
Mammoth bar deadlift -575
Sand bag to shoulder - 300
Training currently is a mix of lots of conditioning circuits as I am in camp for my next fight. Been loving the use of sandbags (carries, loads, shoulder) paired with a cardio implement (ski erg, bike, rower) for most of my training as I almost always have a strength advantage in the weight classes I compete at.
Would love to talk more training/cycles with any other combat athletes in here, thanks!
