Need help with an easy diet

I just signed up at the gym down the road and wanted to get on an easy diet that would work good for gaining muscle. Im 230lbs 5'9. Im not super fat but not shredded either. Just want a diet thats easy to follow until i get a good solid routine down. Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks.
 
230 at 5'9 is pretty big. Whats your bodyfat percentage currently? If its lowish, why not keep doing what you're doing.
Just track calories and eat over maintenance. Its hard to give someone a diet because none of us have any idea on what foods you like. Maybe you hate fish but love chicken, so me giving you my diet wouldn't really work for you etc.

Eat a high protein, high carb diet low in fat. Avoid carbs in between meals.

Cero hydrogenated oils and eat a lot of whole real foods including vegetables.
 
I understand and what i basically am looking for is sometging i can eat everyday for while to get on track with the self control lol never been good at dieting
 
Chicken and rice and brocolli with a bit of soy sauce. Salmon and asparagus. Beef and rice. Tacos. Keto burgers. Loaded shakes. Eggs and sausages. Baked chicken wings. Pulled pork. Pulled chicken. Pork chops and mashed potatoes.
Thats what I generally use.
