Need Filter Advise

Ok so this will be my first time Homebrew'ing and would like some advise on filtration. I see people using the whatman filters that attach to the end of a syringe, and from what I hear it can be a pain. What I am wondering is if a vacuum filter would do the job? It seems like it would, and I have read a few forums saying it is much easier. I am going to be making a lot, and the specific item I am looking at is a Whatman Klari-Flex vacuum driven filter unit with 1000 ML receiver flask. They are out of stock on the 500 ML or else I would have gotten that. It also has the option between the .22&.45, and then just get the hand pump for it. Would this be a better option?

dont waste ur money for your 1st brewing exsperience your going to mess up a little probably as its normal 1st couple times {spillage, filter breaking and stuff}
just use .45 filters on the syringe end tipes - doesnt matter what brand name just make sure your good and clean when using them and if you have pure powders you will be fine
