Kerry brought on those attacks when he based his entire campaign on his military record. The Swift Vets were in response to his claims of valor. If Kerry would actually drop his military service as a focus of his campaign, then I think he could really get back into the race for the White House. Hell, the mayor of Youngstown is a Democrat and he is endorsing Bush. Anyone who knows anything about the Youngstown area knows it is highly inudstrialized and it is very poor.
