Multidose Vial Adapter

I would not put them anywhere near oil with BB. There is pic here of that particular model cracking while in service.
I had one in a vial of test prop 100 in MCT oil that after a couple of weeks could no longer hold negative pressure so I couldn’t fill through it. I probably only actually pulled through it 3-4 times. I have no reason to believe that was an especially caustic brew.

I had ordered some of these before I saw the reports of them failing. Decided to go ahead and try it.

So far, no failures. Use them for about a month at a time. Perhaps I have lower solvent oil.

I'll probably look for alternatives once these run out, I probably get enough microplastics elsewhere.
I also ordered some of these Braun adapters a while ago except I got the model with the red tips and smaller vent filters.

I've used two so far with daily pins. The first lasted about 3 months before the luer lock srcrew on receptacle started to crack off. That easily could have been ape-handed user error from over tightening the syringe. That was pulling GA TC250 for what it matters.

The second is still going strong at about 3 months of daily pins. I've been trying to be careful with how I connect the syringe on this one. This one's pulling a different oil. It's a domestic TPP 150.

I plan on using these unless I notice corrosion on the inside of these adapters

I did end up having issues that I strongly suspect were caused by BB leeching the polycarb into the oil. Likely started just a week or so after this post, even. Jinxed myself, I suppose!

So what using a metal hub needle as a fixed vial access device?

A plastic hub needle would obviously have the same problems as the plastic vial access devices

But an all metal needle like these?

Heavy Metal

Or

I think this one is actually for dead people

And then what if someone made a 3d printer pattern for some sort of holding device at the top so you don't have to finger it every time

Or even better yet.... made a machinable pattern. The second one I linked has a hex head. It would be easy to design a vial top with a female hex pattern for that sucker to drop right down into
