What is the sport going to look like in 2032-2042?

I didn't even bother to watch this year. Some of the competitors...the muscle quality, the skin quality, the abdominal distention, most of them looked ill. I'm repulsed by a sport that I grew up infatuated by.

When is enough...enough(?)

I get what you are saying, most guys from the 2000 on have looked as you say, but there are exceptions...ussually they dont win the O :)) but I would say that hadi is a bit different even if only from the front... alas the back has suffered most in this transition to the monsters era.
I speculate that future O will start to reward quality vs quantity.. as we have reached the max amount of muscle that a human body is able to carry and still be recognised as hommo sapiens.

Until different drugs are created...

I was not saying some freak or some new drug wont come along and show us how a 200kg 5.10 4% BF human looks like, but it will cease too look like a human... just imagine it... traps going half way up yhe head, lats so big that the relaxed pose would be the lat spread today, chest so thick it would touch the chin, legs so thick and wide that walking would be imposible competitors being wheeled on stage in special wheel chairs

What are you so surprised about?

It's a size game after all, bigger, leaner and freakier is the name of the game for the past 20 years.

They had to become monsters, since in the 80's movie stars and WWF/WCW and then in 2000's WWE superstars looked like old school bodybuilders (FOR THE UNTRAINED EYE!). How else can you convince regular people that you're bodybuilder when you don't look much different than Hollywood actor or WWE wrestler?

I was there and i think this was great mr.O
Hadi looked great and also Derek,it was very close. Next year Derek could take it,if he continue to improve so much every year.
. I think some people have been bothered with what the bodybuilding competitions have been looking like and have evolved into.

Some people like massive size and some people appreciate the classic physique.

Now since they branched out the different classes, it seems more appealing to more people.

At the end of the day, its personal preference

I agree...when i pay the ticket i want to see the freaks and not the physique we see every summer on the beach.
I actually like every class except mens physique.
In classic cbum is untouchable, nobody had a chance against him.
