Nah meso is home court for me. It's the only steroid site I ever joined. I lurked on a bunch of different sites for about a year but it became obvious that most if not all of the other sites had hidden agendas some more obvious than others. On meso I came across biggerBens posts and a few other straight shooters and it was obvious that this was the place i wanted to be. This is the place where facts talk and bullshit walks (mindlesswork definitely falls under the bullshit category)
Im not as interested in memes photoshopped by haters as much as his real words . Theres some things he had to have said himself...thats what incriminated him .
While researching I joined a bunch of forums I can't even remember. A lot of sites make you join to view more than a certain number of threads. Meso is the only forum I am active in though. I understand different folks have different ways of dealing with serious topics, but for the guys using humor and memes and jokes in this thread, I just ask respectfully that you consider that we have members who personally have been molested, and/or have children or family members who have been. It's just my opinion, but I think we can do better than to laugh about such a disgusting thing as kidnapping, predatory behavior towards underage kids, and child molestation.
Again, just my opinion, but this is one topic that's just not funny on any level. It is a bad look for Meso and our community to make jokes about such a horrific topic.

In their defense(the meme posters) they just re posted memes that were made by others from different sites.
And yes I am one of those people you refered to when you spoke about members being molested as children. I was molested by an uncle with mental disabilities for quite some time in the worst ways possible. He had the brain of a 10 yo so I mostly blame my parents for having left me in his care, a person known to be mentally unstable, to avoid paying for a babysitter. I didn't put two and two together till just now but maybe this is why I have such strong convictions about seeing to it that mindlesswork takes a walk and leaves meso.
Im sure we all have a pedophile in our past . For me it was Dennis , my jr.high baseball coach . Me and my cousin John were both on his little league team the difference being Dennis was "grooming" my cousin John behind our backs .
Dennis never made a pass at me , probably because I was a mouthy lil half indian that didnt take crap from no one (still dont) but my cousin John was quiet, timid and easily mislead . We didnt find out until the end of the year what had happened but in the end it ruined John in school and life and hes remained a hardcore whiskey alcoholic to this day . Reading those sickening posts brings alot of this back....

This was also something that happened to me as a 6 year old. It led to me being a slave to a needle and alcohol for 13 years. I finally faced my demons New Year's Eve 2015, found God and will have one year clean and sober this weekend.
The negative emotional and physical effects that child molestation has on the victims is truly awful.
I say physical effects because everyone thinks of the emotional scarring, but as infuriating as it is to think about, the victims sometimes end up with STD's that they live with for the rest of their lives, as well as physical damage to their genitals, rectum, etc.
I don't have the figures, but I have read the stats in the past that victims of child sexual abuse are more likely to abuse drugs, commit suicide, and suffer from depression.
Quite often (certainly not always) those who get most upset about molestation are those that have been affected by it, either directly (victim) or indirectly (sibling, spouse or friend a victim). I could tell by some of the reactions that this had to be the case, not to mention that the statistics say that undoubtedly many folks here have been affected by it. I believe it is like 1 in 5 girls and 1 in 20 boys are sexually assaulted at some point, with a tremendous number of cases going unreported!!!
Anyways, THAT is why I stated that I thought that joking about it and using humor when commenting on it was probably inappropriate.
Again, just my opinion, but it is so repulsive that it's just not something to joke about. Many of us here have kids - imagine this happening to your child and then seeing fellow members joking about it...

I apologize to anyone that has gone through this as my attempt at using humor/memes was the wrong way to go about it. I still have an institutionalized way of thinking/handling this type of situation....
