May be the end of the line on gear for me. Having LUTS saw the urologist and he said my prostate is enormous.

I recently ramped to 400 test + 200 primo and have been having urinary issues. I'm 43. Urgency, pissing all night. Saw my urologist today and he said my prostate is enormous and wants an ultrasound. I could feel this coming on even on 200 test a bit. For anyone who has has a swollen prostate, does this go away if you take a break?

Could be prostatitis in which case a steady antibiotic treatment (levofloxacin) can shrink it back down over time. If it's DHT-based issue, then finasteride or dutasteride can help reduce the size over time. If it's prostate cancer your cycle will be the least of your worries.

Go to the doctor and get checked out.

Did you read the part where I went to the urologist and he ordered an ultrasound

I wish I had a clear and positive answer for you. I hope everything turns out well.

Sorry, must've read right past it.

He should have done a quick urine test to check for infection (mine did.) If infection is present, he should put you on levofloxacin as it works well to target the prostate. For me, it took 7 months to get the PSA down to stable, normal levels and the physical size decreased to what is considered a normal size.

Is it safe to assume blood and urine checks were done? They are much less expensive than an ultrasound so they are usually the first diagnostics tried.

Short answer is yes, it can shrink down to near-normal size although the longer it has been enlarged the less chance there is of returning to your prior size.

Did he draw blood for markers such as PSA?

To answe your question: I have had some issues on "blast" that have subsided (and rather quickly - a few weeks) when I go back to true TRT levels. My PSA however remains around 1 even when urinary symptoms are present

My PSA has been stable for years and years on TRT/blasts at 1.8-2.2 and I have felt flare ups that return to normal when I get back on TRT but this is the worst it has ever been. I've also used more gear in the past than this. I had a PSA done a week earlier that was 2.2.

He did a urine in a cup too.

What is considered enlarged? This sounds like great news, right?
When he felt it yesterday he said he suspected it to be 60-80 which is enormous. I don't understand. 20-25 is normal for a young man but I'm 43 and on 600mg of androgens right now so I will take 28.

Estrogen control bought my psa down, aromatize inhibitors helped me

I've managed my E2 well in recent years. I'm on 400 test 200 primo and my E2 is 34. That's where I like it plus or minus on TRT as well. When I was younger I used to run 500 test and dbol before I knew better. I think that did some prostate damage but I don't know.

Brother, I’m not a doctor. I’ve tried a couple other supplements. Most of the things worked, but if there’s emergency, relief of piss

spit on your palm, grab penis head other hand and rub the head of the penis as hard as you can against your palm and you will piss like a fountain

Cialis 5 mg a bit of saw Palmetto and a bit of pygeum bark help me

PSA floating at 0.6 -0.8

So I had my ultrasound done and my prostate is not enlarged. It's 28cc. I don't know wtf is going on. No infection either. He's prescribing an alpha blocker.
DHT can increase sensitivity around the bladder at the same time it is affecting the prostate (BPH) and both could contribute to the incessant need to urinate. The growing prostate can cause you to not completely empty which makes you feel like you need to go more often while the increased sensitivity in the nerves in the bladder and urethra can intensify the feeling like you need to go NOW!

An alpha-blocker will help with the symptom of continually feeling like you need to urinate, but it won't address the underlying problem which is the DHT. You're likely going to need to use finasteride/dutasteride or drop your test to actually shrink the prostate and resolve the issue on a more permanent basis. Just know that the earlier you address the issue, the better your chances of getting back to normal-sized prostate and PSA numbers.

Could be age-related hormonal changes are affecting your sensitivity giving you different result now that you had earlier in life.

Not a doctor, just a 50+ yr old who's had to deal with a couple of prostate issues over the years. Your mileage may vary.

So I took afulozin which is an alpha blocker and it helped which sadly makes me realize this is some sort of prostate issues. My fingers are crossed it's a temporary prostatitis flare or irritation from the gear and as I come back to TRT the symptoms will fade.

Good to hear. Role of androgens and DHT in prostate growth is long established but the recent science is looking more at estrogen as a factor
I thought to trial an AI myself to see if it helps. Already on Fina and Cialis for both - helps some but still room for improvement.

You are in the age range for IBS. I hope not, because its a pita to diagnose and deal with but thats always a possible.

My wife has IBS, none of her annual tests are off except lowish estrogen and low testosterone (and of course, they didnt offer her those). They must have run every test known to man (including biopsies and multiple MRIs) and found fuck all. I dont know how many times I was accused by a doctor of sleeping around on her (that will never happen) and how many std tests she had to do... basically every new doctor we try reruns all the STD panels. She has no issues at all according to every test she has done and yet she is miserable when it flares up.

I hope thats not the case for you. But you can do some of your own testing. What helped her the most was cutting fats and eating clean.

I am 20 years older than OP and have a long history of an enlarged prostate. Competitive bodybuilding was, I am sure, the cause. I was scheduled for a TURP with my urologist but got a second opinion and he thought it could be managed with Finasteride. I was already taking Alfuzosin but not being able to pee.

Fortunately after 7 weeks the Fina seems to be working and I can pee fairly well most of the time. I am def not going to get the TURP, a fairly major procedure.

I also keep my test under 200 mgs/week.
