Macro tracking app

In years past I’ve used MyFitnessPal, but now with the changes they’ve made I’m not a fan.

Getting ready to start a blast and wanted to use an app to log and track macros vs just keeping a digital good log in my notes.
My plan was to by the RP diet app (already have the hypertrophy app), BUT it will only let me choose an 11lb weight gain which is bullshit, and it locks me into only 13 weeks. Shooting for ~25lbs (scale weight) and 16 weeks, so although the app would still be a solution to logging food and seeing macro breakdowns more easily, I’m not willing to pay the big $$$ and not use any of the features beyond that.

MFP used to be so good before they made the barcode a paid feature. I've Started using "Lose it" app, It allows you to see macro breakdown as a percentage of your daily total and grams. You can also track weight and cals obviously.

Several features locked behind the premium version which I haven't bought but they offer 50% off pretty regularly (£14.99 a year). You can't set custom calorie targets without it but the default ones are similar to most TDEE online calculators.

You could try the "fatsecret app" offered on android or IOS . Its free

I ended up just buying MyFitnessPal. I looked at a lot of other apps and decided even if i didn’t particularly like some of the things MFP had done, the app seemed to have the most of what I wanted.

It’s a shame I read enough about the RP app to decide to pass on it. I was really excited about that.

Been using Macrofactor and found it miles better than MFP. Think they do a 2 week trial so you can see how it works for you, but I love it.
