Hey meso,
Looking for some new protien flavors or companies to try out. I like what I'm using but Im a bit bored with it. Currently been using the coco pebbles dymatize iso I like it as it has a different chocolate flavor and I think is pretty close to what you would taste drinking the milk after you eat the cereal but I'm looking to switch it up. So any recommendations? Bonus points for non-traditional flavors that you don't see as commonly (i.e. not your standard chocolate vanilla cookies and cream ect that everyone has)

Was something I was thinking about, but I almost wouldn't even know what to do with it as far as shakes. I could def see using it in random stuff, protien mashed potatoes and mac and cheese lol. But as far something easy and convenient and just fast I can do in a minute or two not sure what my options would be.

I always recommend MyProtein Impact Whey Protein Isolate. It is by far the best WPI you can buy for the price, and has been approved by third party testing for quality and purity. It mixed up easy and I enjoy it. I'll even just mix a scoop into some almond milk with a dash of honey for a pre-bed bolus of that brotein.

I just don't understand the need for all these birthday cake and swiss cheese flavored protein powders? I mean they have flavors too, but I don't do added flavors in any of my food. You want some flavor? Super easy: just mix in a little cocoa powder or cinnamon yourself, or some vanilla extract into whatever you're making with it.

Lately I have been doing a smoothie with 1/2 cup of Silk Protein Nut Milk, 200 grams of nonfat greek yogurt, 100 gram ripe banana, 120 grams of frozen costco organic blueberries, 1.5 scoops of MyProtein whey, 1.5 cups of unsweetened vanilla almond milk. Then for added flavor I put in like 1/2 tbsp of cocoa powder and a 1/2 tsp of cinnamon. For bulking I also add like 40 grams of peanut butter. That shit is fucking delicious. The cocoa and cinnamon just mesh so well with the bloobs and nanas. I swear it is so good sometimes I make 2 per day lol.

haha make your own bro! Didn't you learn anything from my post?! Get that swiss cheese and grate it up into your protein powder! You could dehydrate it if you want to first, that might make it keep better ;)

I gotta say that shake is fucking incredible. I've been going steady with it since I started my bulk 4 months ago and have now finished the bulk so I cut the PB out of the shake, but god damn it is so good.

Without the PB it is 536 calories: 56.8g carbs, 10.7g fat, 55.7g protein. Thanks to the combo of the why plus the greek yogurt it keeps me full for hours too!

For bulk I add the 2 TBSP of peanut butter (the kirkland organic valencia peanut butter is amazing for these shakes) and I do 1 cup of Silk protein nut milk instead of 0.5. That is 796 calories, 67.2g carbs, 30.8g fat, and 68.9g protein.

Fucking solid, I tell you. Just so fucking delicious.

One of the big reasons is I work long days usually out side on job sites. I want something that will keep in my car, and I don't particularly want to be making smoothies at 2am before I head out to work as the misses and kids would prob kill me. So just having flavored protien powder is the easiest solution I've found in sure with some effort there's other work around. But as with most things you pay a premium on products for convenience, and atleast for the work season I'm willing to pay, maybe on layoff I'll give your recipe a shot though

You could make a smoothie and add ground chia seeds to thicken it up. That way when you drink it it isn't just plain liquid. The chia seeds will bloat up and get nice and juicy. Often I would put chia seeds in my overnight protein oats as they give it almost a pudding-texture which I love.

And of course a solid cooler and good insulated cup to keep it cold is key.
