Hey guys I am finishing my bulk right now and sitting around 10-12% bf.
Stats are
5'2"
158
30 yrs old
I'd like to compete in October thinking bantam 143. Anyhow my question is what do you think about cruising the next month on macros such as this
Total calories around 1400-1600
Protein 160
Carbs 150-200
Fats 30
Basically a low fat diet with relatively low carb but not ketosis low.
I'll do that starting in couple weeks just to get down 6-8% range by September then hit higher fat low carb ketosis of 50g carb or less the last 6 weeks to get down in the 5% range.
I learned last time doing ketosis that you need low carb and lower protein with high fat so that excess protein doesn't convert to glycogen and keep you out of ketosis. So I thought this might allow me to keep higher protein while getting the cutting phase started so that I don't lose muscle from now til October. I will be dieting all natural and worried about losing the muscle gains.
