level3's training log: running, bodybuilding, and yoga

lately labcorp has not been sending partial blood test results. pretty annoying.

Do you have a Quest option nearby? When I last priced out Quest vs Labcorp through Goodlabs it was cheaper for the typical "bodybuilder" tests. Quest sends individual test results as soon as they're available.

Yeah, Labcorp and Quest are in the same building and they're walking distance from me. I'll look into it for my next set of bloods. Haven't looked at Goodlabs at all. I've been using Fitomics for the last year or so, thanks for the tip. Feels like we're in a golden age of ordering your own bloods - I don't remember nearly as many options when I was running gear in 2017-2018. Labcorp was sending me partial blood test results as recently as 8-9 months ago though I think, and their website said that they did last I checked.

Pin firing was nowhere near as painful as I had been led to believe. I was wearing 5mm neoprene compression sleeves (and haven't taken them off yet) but the pain never went above a 1.5/10. Maybe it will be different tomorrow. I did 20 sets of 2-3 chinups, taking 2-3 seconds on the eccentric part of the motion and 60 seconds between each set. Could just be that my golfer's elbow is even more minor league than I thought. Guess I'll know soon enough if it worked!

Very nearly took an anti-inflammatory on accident. I've been putting cissus quadrangularis in my protein shakes for months. Actually didn't realize it was anti-inflammatory but thankfully checked it right before I started drinking it. Maybe my issue has been taking too many anti-inflammatories and not letting my elbows heal as a result. Glutathione, vitamin C, curcumin, black seed oil, astaxanthin, fish oil, and cissus have all been in rotation (BSO being the only one I haven't been taking every day). I did take BSO this morning without thinking but I'm cutting all of these out while I do the pin firing protocol. And I took 250mg of vitamin C along with collagen cuz you need that for tendon repair. But that should be it.
