Jardiance question

Quick question for those that have used Jardiance. Got some coming from India, but in the meantime my doc gave me a script for 10mg "Expensive as shit even with insurance, but that is a whole other topic." Anyway it is being used primarily for kidney and heart health vs glucose issues.

Have some test strips that I use a few times a month for some time now just to make sure nothing is really odd. Did it a couple days after starting the Jardiance and as expected, the glucose marker lit up as expected and it never registered at all before. What surprised me though is the ketones marker lit up as well, which it never did before either. Anyone else have this happen? Everything else on the test strip was about the same as normal.

Agree health drugs like those shouldn’t require a prescription. But reality is the med-pharma industry won’t give up being an often unnecessary middle man and collecting their share.

You can either use a telemedicine consult to get the needed prescriptions, or bypass the system and buy Indian pharma. Based on meds you mentioned, you don’t actually ‘need’ a doctor.

Strangely the one drug that can be catastrophic if used inappropriately (insulin) is OTC in USA.

Pitavastatin from PCT is essentially same price as CostPlus for 4mg/90 day supply. Indian package is also superior which facilitates keeping a long term stash. Believe the manufacturer is same.

If you order from India I’d suggest getting cilnidipine too, it’s unavailable in USA. PCT carries it both individually and in combos with Telmi and/or chlorthalidone, a diuretic way better than HCTZ and one that won’t increase K+ like eplererone. Indapamide is another good diuretic.

Yeah ordered some pita and eplerenone but delivery is way worse than before tariffs.

I considered cilnidipine and chlorthalidon but I don’t rly have any bp issues and on my current cycle support I feel like I easily drive my bp too low with these
