Is there a difference between sweets and “clean food”

When they’re the same number of calories.

I really like to believe that the body is too complex regarding insulin etc to just believe it all comes down to a caloric number.

can someone explain

Difference in what? Body compositon? It would be minimal, perhaps non existent.

Sucrose fructose and glucose are diff and store different

for example, pineapples sugar contest is higher in glucose which all fruits are made of glucose and fructose which glucose is going to store in the muscle more than the later, which is stored in the liver. Sucrose is literally table sugar. Look at a fat person. Look how they eat. That’s all I’ll say

Eat pineapple, eat white rice, raw fish, steak, egg whites, salmon, and your fav restaurant once a week and call it a day, pin your test e or c, deca or eq, take your gh and slin correctly and stop worrying and if it fit your macros dumbass shit. A pop tart is not a FUCKING potato god DAMMNJT

IIFYM is for lazy fucks!

Actually, let me rephrase that....its a decent way of eating to maintain SOME SORT of boundaries when you ain't pushing the pedal to the metal and have either other shit going on in life or you just need a break. Obviously we cannot go 130mph all the time and when this happens then I can understand it.

Important to have a life sometimes too. But to think of IIFYM as the best way for diet results? Nah man, not by a longshot for me anyways

I always try to eat candy and liquid carb sources before and after a workout and that helps me with weight control a lot. I mean for me a carb is a carb. Some just convert into glucose quicker than others. For example, brown rice is slow glucose conversion so it doesn't spike your insulin to store it as much as say straight up candy. At that point your body is going into storage shuttle (fat storage amongst other things) mode because your blood glucose is high. This is ok around a work out because your muscles are looking for energy to burn. This is my limited understanding of how that works.

There’s someone fairly experienced on diet who claims that eating 200 calories of shit food versus “clean” food will give about the same results. Same macros same calories I feel there’s a difference between candy and not shit food

I feel the body is more complex than that

Who or what determines what shit food is? The "body"? Ultimately the carbs, protein, and fat from a Big Mac or a slice of pizza are the same as chicken and steak, rice and potatoes, with differences of course. Vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, fiber, fatty acids ...
It's not a good strategy in the long term though, and im not an IIFYM guy. Whole foods are always more healthful and I structure my diet with them.

What exactly is it that you think IIFYM is? I can't really think of any typical diet in existence that you couldn't consider a form of IIFYM... So I don't understand how it's for "lazy fucks". I'll start a step ahead of you telling you what IIFYM isn't, it ISN'T a diet where you get to eat ice cream and chocolate all day and, as long as you hit your macros, you're good to go... That is not what IIFYM is and it's a common misconception. There is some cheat meals or snacks built into the diet whenever you want to have them, that's about it... Why everyone thinks you eat ice cream all day on this diet I really never understood. Too lazy to read.

No, you stand correct. I'm referring to someone who considers a pop tart to be the same type of carb as rice. I'm referring to ppl who continue to eat shit, just less of it.

I'm not talking abt a realistic diet that just includes something here and there that isn't a squeaky clean food. And yea, I said lazy fucks and I was referring to the person who refuses to prepare food and instead rolls through the drive thru, only they're order a medium French fry instead of a large to adhere to IIFYM

That isn't an IIFYM thing... It isn't how that diet works. IIFYM doesn't have anything to do with whether you prepare food or not either. I think you just wanted to throw out the term lazy fucks honestly.

That's cool, enjoy your day
