I've been hanging around here for almost a year but have largely been interested in TRT, GLP-1s, hair loss prevention, and things of that nature. I've read a ton of threads here on AAS and have done a fair bit of reading Pubmed articles and stuff from Peter Bond, TypeIIx, so I get a lot of the "technical" differences insofar as the DHTs, Ts, 19nors, the 'cutting vs bulking' roids (mast/var/etc vs nand/dbol/etc).
But one thing that is a little unclear to me, is there any sort of roughly agreed upon "anabolic multiple" of each AAS compared to testosterone? Like, "deca builds muscle roughly 1.5x faster than test per mg" or something like that? I'm aware of the Hershberger assay but obviously those are largely useless, right?
In other words, what factors do you guys use to select a roid to actually use?
I understand, for instance, that Primo can have an AI-like effect, so stacking it with test in the proper ratio can keep E2 in check. That makes a lot of sense. But then Mast, on the other hand, so I've read, doesn't really have this AI effect to nearly the same degree, and I've also read that it isn't as anabolic as test, so what would be the rationale for adding it to a cycle, other than perhaps cosmetic effects, makes you look more peeled? Or perhaps there's a nice synergy with test? Mental effect?
I read this thread: https://thinksteroids.com/community...ould-you-rank-primo-mast-as-vs-test.134426155
And people are saying different things, like Mast gives you a strength boost in the gym, Primo doesn't, they're both <50% as anabolic as test, etc. Just hard to get an overall grasp as to the reasoning why people pick and choose their mix of compounds for a given cycle.
I guess how each one uniquely fucks up your bloodwork is a big factor as well.
Obviously if you're a competitive bodybuilder all of the on-cycle aesthetic effects of the compounds are hugely important. But if we're just talking about an average gym bro, can you guys give me a clue into the methodology behind your cycle design?
This thread is a little all over the place, but I'm just trying to understand the difference between the theory/research stuff I've read about AAS, and the actual experience-based cycle design choices that regular AAS users make.
