Introducing myself - kick starting serious workouts again after many years

Hi guys (from the US),
Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm fairly new to this forum, although I've been lurking here and reading/learning a lot from the forums for the past few weeks. I'm not new to working out - in fact, I was a serious gym bro for a while, and even managed to compete in a bodybuilding show MANY MANY years ago when I was younger man (I am in my 40s now). I've been busy working, raising my children, and all that kind of life stuff. And in the process, I let my own body get to a place that I'm not really happy with. Granted, I am not a "total slob", as I just naturally keep my body fat in the <15% range, and I can still see a bit of a six pack beneath my skin (I'm ~5'10", 185 pounds). As my children are growing up, I now want to focus on my body more, particularly in terms of getting stronger, looking really muscular and fit again, and getting my stamina up to the point where I can play some pretty competitive pickup basketball and soccer again.

It's clear from reading the forum that I need to do bloodwork, and I see that most of the gear are the same, but there are lots of new substances (such as peptides) that are becoming popular. So I want to try out these things on my body to help me attain my goals, so I can be more happy and goal driven again. I'm happy to take advice from folks, and thanks to everyone that is posting their experiences, which helps me out a lot. Thanks again, and I look forward to being an active member of this community.

Voyager.
