Well, maybe only I think it's interesting, but some of you may, too.

One of my coworkers said, "why did I have to be born poor" while lamenting his terrible predicament of actually having to work for a living.

I asked him how he planned on staying rich if he didn't work once he was rich. He brought up one of the owners of my company(he's 77 y/o) and how he is very rarely here anymore, prefering to spend his time in France.

I said, "dude, he worked for 50 fucking years already. On top of that, he gets a copy of EVERYTHING that goes on in here every day. He's still working even when he's not here."

To which someone remarked, "yeah, he's a republican" referring to me.

I find it very interesting that people associate working for a living and being proud of it with republicans. Perhaps, subconciously, even democrats know that democrats have no concept of work and/or fiscal responsibility.

For the record, I'm neither dem. or rep., but I'll vote Republican every time because I'd rather have MY money in my pocket and not yours. :D

Well, just look at those who are far more likely to be democrats than republicans: Hollywood, Musicians, the Poor, and the Young. None of who, by the way, knows a thing about the economy or running a business.

It says a lot about your co-workers character that he said he wish he was born into wealth, instead of creating it for himself.

80% of all millionaires are first generation. It is funny how most people think most rich people inherited it.

Only that lazy, non-working, silver spooned bastard, Kazy. :D

Just kidding Kayz, you know I love you and your work ethic.

Worse- Many of the people bitching about not having money turn down overtime when it's available.

Well, I see all the people that bitch about not having money are usually the ones with very little education. They then have their hand out waiting for some program. Of course better yet they have to drive a new pickup and cannot make the payments while I pay for their state medcaid......GRRRR
GITTY

Oh man, dont get me started. I work at the DA's office in a large city in Texas, and I get to talk to (alleged ) criminals all day long. I have heard several people say "Im here because I am black!" or "You wouldnt treat a rich white boy this way!" and then you read the report, and they robbed a old woman at knife-point or something.

It makes me so mad sometimes. I just want to yell, "You aren't here because you are poor, you aren't here because you are black, you are here because you are piece of societal shit!"

However, I hear it makes you mad when you just start, but makes you laugh the more and more you hear it.

I'll say this again: the democratic base relies on its constituents being uneducated and poor, which feeds the victicrat mentality of "...you owe me...gimme gimme gimme".

In order for the democrats to be successful in this country, the uneducated and poor must remain uneducated and poor! The democratic politicians have no incentive to attempt to better the lives of these individuals.

And when you look at the big picture, it is republicans who are typically the ones doing more to combat poverty and poor education.

LOL.......but to be honest with you, I always got the "it must be nice" when I was growing up....like my family didn't work their fuckign ass off for every dime they have.

There is a reason the rich get richer and the poor get poorer: the rich keep their money and pass it along. This goes back to education too.

There was an economist (can't remember his name) that spent his life studying the economics of various groups of people. He looked at middle class people who win the lottery vs. poor people who win the lottery. What he found was interesting. He found that every person has what he called an "economic comfort zone". All things being equal, the poor will most likely remain poor and the rich will most likely remain rich because that is the comfort zone they are accustomed too. If a poor person wins the lottery, statistics tell us that ultimatley they will blow that money and be poor again (i.e.: at their original comfort zone).

I think this applies to atheletes (primarily black ones). Look at these guys who get tens of millions of dollars and are bankrupt when they are 40 (i.e.: mike tyson). IT makes me absolutely sick.

LMFAO!! I just read Gitty's post again. I just caught the pickup truck thing. LOL Pickups! Gitty you need to move out of the sticks, bro.

You can afford a brand new ten speed every couple of years if you don't have to replace the tires! Just do what Grizzly does; get too drunk to peddle your ride. Grizzly's moto is a tire saved is a tire earned. Good old Republican values.;)

In my best Al Gore voice: "I feel like you just attacked my integrity and my character...and I will not respond in kind". :D

you know what really burns my ass, is the lazy people with there hand out, screaming i cant do this or that cause im (black, green, hispanic, asian) but i see hard working immagrants every day starting their own business, and working hard to make a better life...noone born into this great nation has faced the adversities of an oppressive government, like some guys from Laos i knew....and these guys didnt want a hand out, they lived 8 people to a house and they all worked and saved their money....it all boils down to, you owe me this, or i owe it to myself
