Interesting facts about IRAQ

Your thinking as always, escapes me. I do not care what you were saying, but previously, I did care, and asked, whether you were being self-rightious or sarcastic.

But logically, even if I did care about whether you were talking about God, once I saw your attitude, I could change my mind and not care.

Then why did you ask me in the first place if i was being sarcastic or self righteous ? You care....

I think these things are very interesting to those who think the bible is fiction. If it contains pertinent prophetic material, accurate and detailed, then it obviously is not a work of fiction.

But of course those who are simply prejudiced, no amount of data could convince closed minds. A man convinced against his will, is of the same opinion still, as they say.

not exactly facts for those of us who think the bible is just a good work of fiction.

The do now, but they originally didnt, the rivers met far more southerly than they do now... I have dove to the very place where that is according to satellite imaging, and its around 100 miles E of Dawha Kuwait. I was attached to the USNS observation island and had the opportunity to do a safety dive with a group of religious anthro's who were studying the relics and geography of the gulf floor there. I have some really cool pics if you guys wanna see. These guys ended up making a pro-creation leaning documentary called "Origins" . It was an endeavour to try and prove the accuracy of the bible...some they could , some they proved atleast for their purposes, to be false .

Being spritual is great Neodavid, but religion IMO is a horrible hoax on humanity. I try to seperate God from religion.

I likewise seperate religion from God, but I don't see the bible as being religious in nature, as I define religion.

In other words, I believe in Jesus as depicted by the bible, but not 'religiously', (men using his words to control others and force their viewpoint on them as though it were God's).

God coming to save men is not a religious idea, but is often unfortunately associated with church and religion in men's minds. It's almost impossible to avoid it when you live in a religious society.

I believe when Jesus returns he will despise 'church' religion today, as much as he did the 'correct' religion of his day (Judiasm made into a religion by the pharisees and saducees).

God is love (but love is not God). Anyone who seeks him, will find him.

Church folks incorrectly believe this verse is false, and imagine men can only be saved if men are taught about God through their preaching, etc.

That is one way for a man to be awakened (scared to death by the church) and 'get saved', but far better is to let a man see through life that God is a good Father who is worth seeking, and who can change the things in us we can't.

If he is saved the church route, he will usually spend most of his life mistaking religious doctrine, for knowledge and personal relationship with God.

If saved apart from church, a man often spends most of his time getting messed up with the thousands of philosophies he encounters, and the results is equally difficult (though both battles are honorable and good).

From what I've seen, it's best if a man discovers God by way of seeing someone else who knows God, and having a personal encounter with God which connects him to someone who obviously has many experiential answers which will save him time and pain.

There is danger there also however, as all the impurities in that man, may be mistaken as also being Godly things (anger and judgment against those who are pro-abortion, for instance).

My best friend, hated 'God', when we met, but I found him to be more full of love and Jesus like, than anyone I'd ever met.

He was likewise confused by my believing the bible, but in a short time we encountered God in each other, and he was able to see God and religion as seperate things, and then he fell in love with God.

This was one of the most bizzare things I'd ever seen, but my friend was heavily into martial arts, and pretty deadly, having practiced all of his life since maybe 10 years of age. He had a lot of 'chi', as he called it, and said it took his fighting ability to a higher level.

So God showed up at my house one day, and Andrew asked if I felt all that 'chi'. I said no, that's God, he shows up like that a lot.

He started having dreams and visions, and a stranger walked up to him and said, "God showed you to me in a dream, and told me to tell you you should start believing like you used to".

Turns out he had been brought up in a 'christian' home, but rejected Christ because his parents were so horrible. He immediately understood his rejection of Christ was tied to his hatred for his parents religion, and found himself amazingly now drawn to Christ (hated the idea before).

He now see's and feels God, apart from religion, and realizes the things in the bible are not as the church teaches they are, but things in themselves from God.

However, I don't mean to imply anyone must believe in the bible to know God. I just find it a very useful source of truth and inspiration.
