Injectable Glutathione Recipe

Really interesting read. I’ve picked up a few vials of 200mg/ml glutathione. Is it best practice to start off with a few hundred mg a week titrated up? And do you IM or SubQ?

I started once a week 600mg/ml
Doing now 600mg/ml twice a week.
So 1200mg weekly.

Gonna stay at this dosage probably forever.

Just wanted to give an update. I kept my dose at 176mg a day but added extra vitamin C and E, also increased magnesium and CoQ10. Headaches slowly improved each day with yesterday being the first headache free day. Everything I listed is supposed to support glutathione.

I really struggled to get it right and I wanna save people looking for the recipe some time so they don't have to go through all posts.

This is the recipe for 30 ml at 200 mg/ml:

1) Weigh out 6 grams of Reduced Glutathione powder and pour it in your mixing beaker.
2) Add around 20 ml of Bacteriostatic water and start mixing (I prefer magnetic stirrer).
3) After a couple of minutes a milky cloudy solution will form. To get it to completely dissolve you will need to increase te pH of the solution.
4) Add NaOH pellets or NaOH solution to your mix. Add it very slowly, ml by ml or a couple of mg by couple of mg. If you get the pH above 6.5 it will oxidize instantly turning red and ruining your product. Having a pH meter is a life saver. The solution will start clearing up before 4.0 but I like to keep my brew between 4.5 and 4.9.
5) Once you've achieved your desierd pH, the solution should be crystal clear.
6) Add bacteriostatic water up to 30 ml and mix for another 5-6 minutes.
6) You can now filter your solution into a vials through 0.22 micron filter (I prefer Nylon66).
7) Once you've done you should store your Glutathione. If you are going to use it in the next 1-2 months you can store it in the fridge under 5 degrees C. If you are not going to use it soon then you should put it in the freezer and unfreeze it when you are ready to use it.
Luka Halotestin, et al.,
Do you happen to know how much Sodium Hydroxide you using in mg/mcg to achieve your 30ML at 200mg/mL? I'm trying to figure out a strange issue with mine crashing after about two week. I believe I'm not using enough SH to keep it suspended properly.

Are you checking the PH? I just added a little at a time until it was about 7. It moves quickly with sodium hydroxide.

I was unable to check the PH at that time but absolutely will this next batch. It was 100% crystal clear upon initial preparation with just 500mcg of SH. This lasted for nearly two weeks (refrigerated) then suddenly crashed with particles and settlement on the bottom of the vial.

I had the same experience as the OP, it started to clear up at about a 4 PH. Did you have any PIP from it?

I'm sure you are correct. Do you know about how much SH you used?
I don’t. I just watch the PH meter. Definitely give it some time to settle. Made another batch last night and over shot this one also. 7.5 this time if I keep doing this, we are going to find out my threshold for too high of PH. lol

All I can say is it is not much. I use an old plastic baby spoon and just fill the tip up. I do this a few times. Definitely would be mgs and not mcgs based on my eyerometer.

Mine was definitely 500mcg of SH and appeared crystal clear during the process but it did not last.. I'm positive that was not enough based on the feedback. Appreciate the info.

Just curious... is anyone buffering with sodium bicarbonate instead of sodium hydroxide?
Just reading through this thread. This bubbles are just carbon dioxide is being released when neutralising acids with a bicarbonate salt. It’s safe and normal. Sodium hydroxide is more dangerous to work with so you can just use more bicarbonate to increase the pH.

The OP did but I think he bailed on using it. Here was someone’s explanation of what was happening.

Did some googling and came across this, kinda interesting.

Sodium bicarbonate NaHCO3 is slightly soluble in water, H2 O. NaHCO3 dissolves in H2 O to yield carbonic acid H2 CO3 and sodium hydroxide NaOH: NaHCO3 + H2 O → H2 CO3 + NaOH. Note that the carbonic acid breaks down further to form water and carbon dioxide CO2 gas: H2 CO3 → H2 O + CO2.

So it looks like you are still making sodium hydroxide when you use sodium bicarbonate.
