IM needle sizes and common practices

But but site enhancement!!1 jk but so many guys believe in this that it's a meme.
I too wonder how site enhancement works, they do say it makes them weaker for a while. I believe there are some recent podcasts where this was brought up, one of them here:

Ah wait, you mean injecting your gear in the muscle you are going to train for site enhancement... That can't be more than just temporary. Every time I have done it, I just manage to squeeze the oil and get a subcutaneous spill, hurts too lol.

Ya, this. I've heard guys swear by it. The theory being that the hormone is closer to the receptor of the muscle you're trying to grow but I can't see how this would work with anything other than an ester-less compound. Otherwise you just have inactive drug in the muscle for that day. Makes no sense to me but maybe I'm missing something.

I’ve been using 25 ga 1 inch Amazon generics rotating between vg and glute with every day dosing (right vg, right glute, left glute, left vg). Was not concerned about scar tissue before but now after reading this thread I think I may be fucking up.

I am not bothered at all by the injection itself so my only real concern here is long term viability.

Is 27 ga rotating between 6 sites (probably adding delts) enough for every day or do I need to consider more sites in rotation or maybe 30 ga?

Also does the brand / quality really make that big a difference in scar tissue? I have no problem spending the money if it’s going to put me on the right side of caution.

I wouldn't say brand is the differentiating factor.
But between no name generic needles and syringes vs FDA approved ones? Yes, there's a difference.

Seems obvious in retrospect, not something I had considered since the injection was so trivial to me. I have some Nipro 27 and 30 on the way already.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on safe rotation and gauge for every day schedule if you have a few minutes.

I think you’ll love the Nipro’s, especially in comparison.

As for rotation, I personally do delts, pecs, lats, VG, & VL. I can hit IM on all of these sites with 1/2”. I haven’t added glutes to the rotation yet, but have some 1.25” Nipro’s for when I do. Also, some of these sites technically count as more than one due to their size, as long as you track the last location you pinned.

I use 25-31g depending on what's being pinned. Most used is 29g and 25g is usually for PWO.

I try to give each pinned spot at least 24 hours before pinning it again. Honestly I think your technique matters more than g. You can use a 31g, bend the needle by accident, tremble to push the oil out etc and that's probably going to cause more harm than using a 29g.

I’m excited to see the difference, another thread also convinced me to replace my easy touch insulins with Nipro as well for peptides.

I figured I’d use the 27 1.25 for vg and glute and the 30 .5s for delts

Interesting, what is the reason behind 25g for PWO? I have some TNE coming and was now planning to use the 30g .5s after warming the oil for the delts.

24 hours makes a lot of sense, it shouldn’t necessarily be about number of sites and rotation, more so that enough time has passed for healing per site. Thanks brother.

I am going to start looking at proper technique as well, I’ve just been doing a quick jab till the needle is seated against the skin and a relatively slow injection.

Appreciate the comments gentleman!
