Looking to shed some extra fat, and reading these muscle mags for diet plans, sucks. I'm at about 22% bf, and I would like to get down to 12%. I would like to hear some real world diet plans.

well fatboy I think the best thing to do is use the atkins diet, you have to get your fat ass off the coutch anad work out do lots of cardio and watch the diet, what ever you eat, eat something healthy, not trying to flam you bro, just being honest. it takes time and most people expect a change over night and give up on themselfs, here you go, eat right, train right, sleep right, and be patient good things come to those who do things right, good luck bro hope this helps
 
bro, do an isocaloric diet. 33% carb, protein and fats. id eat bwx12 to start, what is your lifting experience?
 
I'm a powerlifter. I lift 5 days on 2 off, for the last 5 yrs. When I say I'm a fat pig, I mean I'm fat and I eat like a pig.
 
yes, black 2001. I plan to change my routine as of 3/1. I actually know what I have to do, as far as calories , cardio, and training are concerned, I just was wondering what you guy's actually eat. I'm bored with chicken breasts, and tuna.

I hate to do cardio, and circuit train. I like to to feel like I did something before I leave the gym, and lifting lite don't do it for me. But I just have to get out of that mindset, and do it. What do you think of the bike in the avatar?
 
No it's not mine, it's a Bourget. BIG money. I don't like bars to much above the shoulders,. You give up performance with apehangers.Not to say that they dont look cool on some bikes. I'm going to be riding to Laconia this summer, in June.Should be an awsome ride, bikes like the Bourget in my avatar, are not the best for those kinds of rides,thier more for lookin than for ridin.
 
I gotta agree with the others on the Atkins and circuit training. I hate the human rat wheel known as cardio... Bikes, elipitcal machines, treadmills, fuck them all. Get rid of the carbs and hit up some super sets... I did super sets and giant sets and they worked pretty well. I could use some decent weight, I didnt have to do cardio cause my heart was already pounding, and I got a decent sweat out of hit...

Chest/Back/Abs
Shoulders/Bis/Tris
Legs/Abs

I would pick three or four exercised for each, example - dead lift, then bench press, then crunches...or military press, then barbell curls, then close grip bench....or lunges, then some kind of abs... So my chest/back day would look like dead lifts/bench press/abs, then lat pull/incline dbells/abs, then shrugs/flyes/abs... Something like that.. Maybe throw in a fourth round for shits..

It aint the best for big gains in strength or size, but it got a good sweat going and I didnt have to get on the damn treadmill...

Just my 2 cents..
 
I wouldnt advice Atkins for anyone lifting. A modifed low carb diet, sure. But not Atkins. Two different animals.

Im not really a big fan of circuit training, though I think a fairly large amount of work needs to be done in a short period of time. Work each bodypart at least twice a week. Have a refeed one day a week.

Those are general overviews and not much for detail. If you really want detail and will listen, then Id be more than happy to help you out.
 
I really just wanted to know what you guy's were eating, I dont have much of an imagination when it comes to food.
 
I eat the same thing every day, very little variation. During the week its protein, chicken breasts and broccoli. Weekend is a little more free with pasta, protein, cereal.
 
Man this whole lowering my bf thing sucks. Actually, I just really like to eat.
I'm trying to eat 5 small meals a day, mostly consists of chicken, tuna, egg whites, lean beef, and the sutch. I just moved back to Philly from nowhere central Pa., and I can't even eat a chsteak. FUCK I don't know how you guy's do it.My hats off to though, I have all new respect for the guy's me and my gym buddies regularly referred to as pretty boy's.

Depending on what your calorie intake is, 5 meals per day is going to make you feel way more hungry than going down to 3 meals. Id stick with 3-4 meals unless you diet at 3k+ calories.

Stupid body fat scales. I'm not quite as fat as I thought. My buddy is a personal trainer, and when I told him my bf was 22%, he said he thought that was high. So he used callipers, and he came up with 17%. So instead of a fat pig, i'm just a moderately obese pig.
