IGF-1 test and timing

I was able to get an endo to give me an IGF-1 test. My question is.. when is the best time to have my blood drawn in regard to when I take my HGH shot for the most accurate IGF-1 reading? I take the dose before bed daily around 10pm and the test is scheduled for 3pm.

did you really have to go to an endo for this? isn't their time more... expensive? where I am from you can get an IGF-1 test at every doctors office, even without speaking to the doctor first.

No. It’s covered by insurance so it costs me $15. And my PCP sent me to the endo. I can’t pay out of pocket for this specific test at labcorp or quest because I’m located in NY.

Time of day irrelevant for IGF. 4 weeks on a stable dose is considered ideal, but 2 weeks is sufficient.

For IGF1, time of day doesn't matter as long as you've been on for a few weeks

Maybe you're thinking of the GH serum assay? That'd be 2-3 hours after 10 IU IM

If you take HGH every other day, or take a break on weekends, etc., then IGF1 results likely get more noisy (depend on time of day, or day of week). In fact, that's why we stopped taking a weekend break, where sleep was likely affected by lower lGF1 levels each Sunday night.

We're all rHGH billionaires now. Skipping days is a relic of the past. Like smallpox and potato famines.
