Hi there.

I have broken my lower arm, and are looking for at way to speed up the recoveryprocess. I have been without roids since 2006 and are not thinking about doing it again. Thoug I have taken about 1.200 IU of HGH since 2008 til summer 2009.

Now that my arm is injured I am wondering if any of you have experience with speeding up the recovery process? I've been thinking about 10 IU a day for the first week, then dropping to 5 IU - but only if it could be beneficial?

That would be about my thoughts as well. I am just wondering about the arm being worth it to try, as I had always assumed I would try for something heavy like a knee or tendon/ligament type injury. There is also the question of any negative feedback associated. Meaning will you temporarily stop your own system's abiltiy to produce GH and thus create an issue if you take it away too soon? I would assume that there will still remain a "hardening" type process that must occur slowly even once the cells are in place. I dont know though, so I am curious to any other answers as well..

actually, if you can get it...an injectible drug called forteo (teriparatide) is actually an anabolic derived from human parathyroid hormone. It is used for severe osteoporosis, but new studies have shown it great affects in non healing bone fractures. That, or calcitonin, trade name miacalcin nasal spray. this drug comes from salmon thyroid lol. it decreases osteoclast activity and increases osteoblast activity......also nutrition-wise, large doses of Vit d3 (2000ius/day) and elemental calcium (1500mg/day) for adult men will help more than anything. Most americans dont get enough vit d or calcium in their diets.

NO one gets enough Vitamin D in their diet unless they supplement. Has nothing to do with Americans.
What is your point bro?

Looks like a copy and paste to me.

i would also point out that steroid use increases cholesterol activity right down to the oil in your skin. Where is vitamin D derived naturally. It is a reaction that takes place when the sun hits you skin....

Big tom, your right, most PEOPLE in general are vit d deficient, I misspoke. But my point is, with out the building blocks to make bone, you wont heal no matter what drug you use. You need enough Calcium to build new bone, and you need enough vit d3 in your diet/sun exposure so that your kidney can process that into the active form of vit d called Calcitriol. Calcitriol tells your gut to absorb more calcium into your blood and inhibits Calcitonin, a substance that releases calcium from your bone.

And yea, not a cut and paste....just me being a nerd. Hope it all made sense and helped the OP

I find hgh or igf both help in healing tendon related issues. ether or will work. willing to bet they will help bone too. 5iu of gh is enough, 50-70 mcg of igf is good.
