One of my bros is a 30 year old male. He had a testical removed due to cancer (Tom Green). His test levels are low due to that and his age. What steps need to be taken to get on HRT through a physician? Does insurance cover it? Please answer these questions and give any other important information without flaming.

Thanks,
Giovanni

A physician needs to do blood work to show HRT is required. The blood work may consist of test levels, psa, thyroid and liver function and maybe a few more depending on the doc.
If your bro has had testical cancer he would want to tell the doc so he can get any additional tests that are required or health advice.

First off, there's absolutley no risk of being flamed here for asking good, straight forward questions. My feeling is that this is such a new area of medicine, that we really owe it to one and all to help get them started.

As far as your brother is concerned, he would fist have to be cleared by his Urologist/Oncologist before beginning any form of treatment. Of course, TRT should only be administered through a qualified physician.

I would recommend either test cyp or Androgel, because straight HCG would be working on only half the usual allotment of testicular tissue.

I'm confident his insurance will cover the TRT.

Thanks for your input. I have been telling him that he should see his MD.

There is a way to fool the tests. If he runs a cycle of non-testosterone androgens, he will shut down is natural production keeping his test levels very low. Tren would be particularly useful in this respect.

Now, CA, this forum is about healthful, legitimate, appropriate HRT. That does not include risking your doctor's Medical License by playing games like that.
