HRT & A Fib episodes?

Has anyone experienced A fib while on HRT. I'm on 2 iu's of some good pharm grade HGH daily and 1ml of 200mg cypionate weekly and have experienced a few episodes of A fibrillation (my heart starts pounding and skipping beats and doesn't stop for hours). This happens mainly during really heavy workouts or sex with the wife...

I went to the hospital and had an echo and they said my heart looks fine. Cardiologist is blaming the test and or high blood pressure but says he doesn't have that much experience with side effects from HRT. I have had slightly elevated blood pressure lately.

I'm about ready to stop everything due to this but wondering if it's one or the other (hgh or the test). I have had quite a bit of water retention/numb hands. I'm gonna cut out the HGH first and see if it goes away.

My heart skipped beats at random times for most of my life. It hasn't done this in a few years. I've been on TRT for a year and a half with no episodes. If TRT was a culprit, and I'm due any and all side effects of medications and haven't seen a skipped beat at all, I'd say TRT isn't related to your problem in my experience. HCG I can't comment on.

Knowing about AFIB, I would say the Test/high BP scenario is contributing to your Heart Arrythmia, and you are predisposed to AFIB, this is just pushing you over the edge. Have you checked your Estrogen levels? Water retention is not good for high BP. Excess Estrogen can cause that. Is your AFIB during the intense Workouts, or afterward? Don't mess around with the AFIB, not an emergency, but it's definetley something that you want to avoid, as it is usually a progressive condition. Get you BP down, and reducing the T will probably help with that, and avoid whatever triggers the AFIB for now.

1) while on HRT.

2) have experienced a few episodes of A fibrillation (my heart starts pounding and skipping beats and doesn't stop for hours). This happens mainly during really heavy workouts or sex with the wife...

3) I went to the hospital and had an echo and they said my heart looks fine.

4) high blood pressure

5) I'm about ready to stop everything due to this
.

1) what do YOU mean by "HRT" is this physician prescribed TRT, I doubt that, or you're running relativity high TT doses, if not outright cycling AAS

2) how do you KNOW what you were experiencing was due to A-Fib was an EKG done that documented this arrhythmia

3) who told you your heart "looked fine" a cardiologist I hope

4) do you have HYPERTENSION?

5) since the use of AAS and GH are likely to have synergistic hypertrophic adverse effects on cardiac muscle, (at least in some folk) that's probably a damn good idea!!!

You visit to the doc and monitoring showed no evidence of arrhythmia?

This heart palpitation you experience during sex never occurred for you before?

I ask because much like @Gramps my heart rhythm has always shifted post-orgasm from the time I was old enough to rub one out.

Oh and what ELSE is a part of your HRT?
-Thyroxine
- Clen
- Albuterol
- OTC "supplements"?
- do you drink ETOH on a regular basis

What suggestions has your PCP made?

A-fib is serious business fella BUT it must first be DOCUMENTED because few of those your AGE have this condition.

That's a common time for Arrythmia to manifest itself. You are going from high Adrenalin/Excitation to relaxation very quickly, and correspondingly your Heart is going from fast to slow in a hurry. The sudden shift in demand on the Heart causes Premature Atrial Contractions (PAC's) in some people. This is benign, unless the Atria begins to Fibrillate (Atrial Fibrillation).

Exactly, which is why I ask.... the OP seems to imply that they hadn't ever had this happen before and it is not clear what monitoring the doc did.

It sounds like AFIB to me, because of the "pounding" of his Heart. If its just PAC's it probably wouldn't cause noticeble pounding. Also if they did an Echo at the Hospital, that implies that they did an EKG first which showed AFIB.

Such conjecture leads to nothing useful IME.

If you want to debate an issue do so on known data.

I suppose PVCs don't cause "noticeable pounding", utter nonsense bc the truth of the matter is almost EVERYONE has some degree of ectopy and the majority "feel" absolutely nothing, in spite of having "normal hearts".

Moreover the diagnostic or prognostic significance in those who feel their ectopy as palpitations, approximates zippo as an isolated complaint.

The point is and is almost always the case on Meso, the history provided on behalf of members (esp noobs) is fully inadequate to formulate ANY conclusions, excepting the need for more info!

Sorry didn't get emails that anyone responded. Yes so the next day after the episode I still felt fluttering went to ER and ekg showed afib then echo days later showed nothing wrong. Have had it twice since then one post sex and one at cross fit. I do remember having an episode or two in college but dr only noticed mitral valve at the time which this dr didn't see.

I have an appointment with a real cardiologist but it's taking forever. In the mean time I cut everything out and switched to low carb low alcohol diet and no episodes since. I had shown some high blood pressure too which I doubt helps. All though to be honest I'm less aggressive at the gym and sex now until I see what the specialist says.
