How to avoid the constant flu and cold (no ped induced)?

I live in an area thats pretty cold this time of the year.

Unfortunately since the energy prices boomed the places I visit they just heat up the place to 13-14 celsius (55 fahr). I mostly do martial arts and lots of the time we work for 2-4 minutes and rest for 30sec to 1min. In the last 3 years I got sick because of it like 5-6 times in the 6 month of cold weather. We sweat a lot especially when doing wrestling. Then I need to go home by car and its only 10 min ride so my car can't heat up well.

So I need to ramp up my knowledge on how to prevent all this.

What layer of clothes do you use in those circumstances?
Also I am interested in supplements, clothing, or anything really that could help me because I cannot improve in the winters because of this.
Its not ped related as it comes when I am on low TRT. I would do a good winter bulking cycle but I cant because of this.

So you are getting sick from going from hot/heat to cold all the time? do whatever you can to stay warm, wear a big sweater/hoodie, big and thick winter jacket in the car, do whatever you can to stay warm all the time.

Stay ontop of your sleep, vitamin d and micronutrients in general, and enough calories.

What else could you do?

Cold weather does two things: tends to lower the body's ability to fight off virus; virus can survive better.

I don't live in as cold weather as you, but I get cold easy and sick from that if I don't take precautions.

If you can't upgrade your car with an "remote-start" (I know, expensive), try these rechargeable "heated clothing" that work just like a heated blanket.

You golf too? Havn't seen anyone else bring up golf on this board. I guess lifting and golf don't seem like a compatible pair. But, it's the only other regular sport I'm still involved.

yes im a 9-10 handicap, i play at least once per week, i love golf and being "enhanced" makes it even more enjoyable, like when i do 75 mg of TNE the morning of a round and i am "pounding the ball" hyper focused, etc,,,, Good timesIMG_1687.webp

Wow, I have to try that. We've discussed TNE before... I've been eyeballing some. I have so much gear that I'm confused what I want to run next.

We're about even handicap. Most of the jokers I play with are hacks, so when they see me play, they're in awe. Especially when nailing the green in 2 on a par 5. Once in a while Ill putt a double-bog and everyone's mood "shifts." I don't get re-invites a whole lot from some of them, even though I don't talk trash.

With a good handicap, it's love or hate ;)

Good, quality, iso underwear. The kind that has sweat out of it and dry skin inside.
Yeah, this was the thing Ive done in last 2 years. The best one cost 150 euro for the upper and lower body.

but I feel like they are not suitable for this purpose using alone. They are a base layer and one supposed to put at least another layer on it. Otherwise its not any better than your own skin.

Thats why I am not really sure how I should layer my clothes.

Usually with wrestling practice we sweat so much we can literally pour out sweat from shoes at the end of session.

Thats why its not so easy.

You get sick from viruses no temperature fluctuations. However, I would bring a change of clothes so you are not wet when you leave the gym. Make sure to layer by removing and adding clothes as needed.
@Demondosage

I mean its not a coincidence that I only get sick wintertime.

Also extreme cold (and hot altough I am heatproof, no problem literally training in 35 celsius 80%+ humidity for 2 hours high intensity) makes your body invest more energy into regulating body temp so less to the immune system. Your body for some reason fight with fever, so cold must do bad to the immune system. For some reason I have a weakness in this area.

The mucous membrane also tend to dry out so virus , fungi and bacteria can penetrate easier.

Take some Thymosin Alpha 1 and boost your immune system so you don't get the sickies as easy.
I rather not take that when my immune system is not functioning well in cold weather.

If it really have great effect on the immune system it should have a drawback somewhere- and those are not apparent right now.

Bought 1 but I sweat so much I literally need to wash it after 2-3 times. And you are not supposed to wash them a lot.
Even when I change my clothes after training it still gets stinky fast.

really? never knew this about thymosin Alpha 1. Something to research now
I dont think its so easy.

immune system can be weakened because of autoimmun disease. So if you try to boost it you might make matters worse. We dont really get the IS yet so I rather not tamper with it.
