How much meat vs shakes do you eat?

has anyone tried muscleegg before? they have the flavored liquid egg whites and powdered egg whites as well, pretty good price and easy to make and take with you, you can just mix with water and drink up

Why complicate things? Just buy basic eggwhites, pour in blender, add whatever real food (veggies, fruit etc) that you like the taste of.

I buy eggs from my neighbor and separate the whites from yolks. Been doing that for 18 months. These are clean eggs, I know what the chickens eat, and this is the highest quality protein I can access.

Shakes with oatmeal and some sweet potato. Raw kale, a few blueberries in the first shake, kefir that I make from local raw milk.

Depending on the day I will usually eat around 450g of Chicken/Beef/Cod. Other sources of protein that I use are eggs and lastly protein shake, maybe have like two scoops daily. So pretty good analogy if you ask me.

Are you pasteurizing them? Pretty sure the whites need to be pasteurized, or are body's can't use the protien if they aren't cooked. I could be wrong though

I remember reading that, couldnt recall who wrote it, it was you! I read so much stuff on here it is hard to keep track of it all

Me, too. But yeah, I looked up the DIY method when money was much tighter and I was going through a couple cartons of egg whites a week. I still do it because for how quick and easy it is.

Well I looked into this and sure enough raw egg whites are about 1/2 absorbed as compared to cooked whites.

I had no idea...

However “cooked” means cooked as far as I can tell. Warming them to 140 kills bacteria, but the goal is to denature the protein, and I’m not seeing where that happens until boiling.

I’m looking for more info on this.

As long as you don't travel by air since the TSA is bitching about food now too. My protein bars always get inspected.

always bitching, cant imagine what they would say when they see 2lbs of vanilla protein or some creatine packaged like a brick lol

Arnold, frank zane etc all say they ate their body weight in grams of protein. doesn't take very many ounces of chicken to hit that over six meals.
man just switched from drinking my egg whites to cooking them to help me feel more full during this cut. need to reevaluate.

I wanted to clarify my egg white post.

Cooked whites are still all absorbed (likely), it just takes longer than pasteurized
