When budgeting for bodybuilding most of your food doesn’t count because even if you wouldn’t be eating protein you’d still be eating every day. You’d probably spend more money on junk food, eating out, fast food, etc, if you weren’t bodybuilding.

So the only food for bodybuilding I count is protein. And I try to keep my protein at under $2.50 for every 50grams. Aiming to be at 300g per day, that’s $225/month on protein.

Gym membership is $25

Gear I buy bulk cheap and make myself so we are talking just a few dollars and that’s even when mega dosing

Not true. I spend on food the same amount if not more than the rest of my family which is 3 adults. They're eating mostly vegetable based foods, rice, pasta, potatoes, legumes and meat once or twice a week. Their main cost is the shitload of olive oil they're using lol, but still i need more and i don't eat beef steaks or salmon.

monthly cost:
TRT: 90

Supplements: I have a giant stack but buy in bulk from iHerb and largest quantities only so around 50-100 a month I’d say

Rx ancillaries: I just use telmisartan, it’s 30 a month. BP is in range without it I just want the cardio protection to prevent LVH. Lipids are great on TRT, they are somewhat elevated on blasts

Food: ranges 400-600 a month.

Peptides: tirz from China, my dose always changes but I buy from SSA. Probably 20-30 a month. I’ve spent like 1-1.5k total on other peptides, fat burners etc..

Gear: test only and it’s 35 a vial. I’ve spent like 800 total and I’ve spent 700 total on GH.

Increasingly more over the years. I imagine this is similar to a lot of people who enjoy experimenting. In many ways I wish the itch to try things feels like it’s been properly scratched, but theres something addictive and rewarding about learning how the human body reacts to different things.

Dunno about monthly, but yearly:
£800 on extra protein food
£300 on some whey and pre workout
£150 on annual blood work
£150 for a years supply of TRT gear
£100 on Janoshik testing of the gear

About 5% of my total pay.
Exercise takes up far more than 5% of my total free time though.

Once a year bloodwork :O. Damn I spend that every 2 months.. Not blasting I suppose?

Very little as iv optimized myself and my life to get the lowest cost per serving

I got 20lbs of whey isolate always that i use for my main protein source i eat canned tuna and try to optimize my diet by focusing on nutritionally dense.

I buy bulk always and avoid convenience. Its saved me thousands

What is costing me alot is making gear but thats just part of it. But to maintain myself takes very little and my money can be used towards other more important aspects.

Lmao was just about to come here to comment the same, my fairlife shakes have got to be my biggest expense

Followed by other food, followed by supplements, spend the least amount on steroids tbh
Same.

Bodybuilding is an expensive hobby but, once you drop $5,000 on gear your good for 5-10 years.
