How do you eat 400gm protein?

I have to force myself to eat 250gm of protein a day. I need to eat 400gm a day, I simply cannot force myself to eat that much. How do you do it? I'd be happy getting over 300 a day.

I rely on 2 weight gainer shakes and 2 scoops of whey a day to get excess protein. I can't eat that much either.

Definitely not an uncommon problem. As far as 'force feeding' goes a company called Controlled Labs has a product called Black Hole that I've seen advertised in MD. It's supposed to enable you to eat more...but I've never tried it so I don't know if it works or not.
Also, the previous advice recommending a weight gainer protein is good advice.

I don't think anybody needs 400g of protein per day. As long as the bio-availability of protein is high ( eggs, whey, casien, etc) 250 -300g should be more than enough to build lean mass. Trying to force feed 400g even with shakes will net you more time on the shitter than in the gym.

Weight gainers with all the carbs for sure I do not need; I need the protein. Carbs are not a problem for me to eat.

From some of the testimonies I've read, when Body Builders up there Protein intake from 250 to 400 they add an extra 10-15 lbs of lean mass in a year with not changing anything else there doing.

i eat over 400 g a day, and i only take 1 or maybe 2 craps a day. here's my diet:

Wake up: bagel, 40 g whey
Breakfast: 1 cup egg whites and cheese, 2 packets oatmeal, glass of OJ
Post Workout: Gatorade, 40 g whey
Meal 2: Steak, mashed potatoes, some type of fruit
Meal 3:Salmon, pasta, veggies
Snack: Whatever i feel like, maybe a sandwhich and apple sauce or maybe a whole nother meal
Post Workout: Gatorade, 40g whey
Dinner: Chicken, Rice, veggies
Before bed: two peanut butter sandwichs, 40 g casein

So you can see i'm getting 160 g just from shakes and they're easy to drink. i'd suggest adding some shakes into your diet as well as working on eating some more

I can get in 400 easily. There are a couple things to try for your problem though. First what I do for my shakes is reduce the amount of liquid. Most shakes call for 8-10 ounces of liquid. I can't stand em that way...too watery. So I reduce the amount to about 4 ounces maybe 6 for TWO scoops! So, in a 12 ounce shake I typically get about 90 grams of protein. It should be no problem sucking down 5 of those in a day.

Now that's just one way. Another is to eat pineapple. Yep, pineapple! There is an enzyme in there which helps the digestion process. This make the food in your stomach empty faster which in turn makes more room for more protein!

Jerky. The water is gone and much of the fat is melted off of jerky but all the protein stays there. So, it's a mass reduced food but the protein content is unaltered. So, more room for more food.

the last time i blew up my diest everyday was something like this

wake up: 1 dozen egg whites, oatmeal
snack: MRP bar or shake
lunch: 2 cans tuna or 2 small chicken breast, salad or veggies
snack: MRP bar or shake
post workout: 60grams Whey
dinner: 1 pound lean meat(steak, chicken, fish), brown rice, veggies
bedtime: 2 peanut butter sandwiches

Oh yeah you think?

In fact it's a matter ofd getting 2.0x your bodyweight in protein. Or if you have problem eating 1.5 can still be okay but no optimal.

250-300g of protein a day is enough for a little 180lbs kid.

I guess thats what my problem is; I have only 2 / 40g shakes a day. If I have 2 more I should be ok.

Begin your day with 12 whole eggs.
2-3 hours later have 2-3 chicken breast
then pre workout shake (60g of protein)
then post workout shake (72g of protein)
1 hour later post workout meal 1 pound of lean ground beef
2 hour later 2-3 chicken breast
3 hours some fish (or red meat)
before bed 72g of protein with pb.

Here you go.

Easy... open mouth... insert meat, chicken, fish, or whey... chew and or swallow it, multiple times a day:D

I'm not a bodybuilder, I am a powerlifter, but I do maintain bodyfat at below 10% at 181 and below 12% at 198. I do this by maintaining a diet of 50% protein, 30% carbs and 20% fats based on the number of calories I need a day to maintain, gain or lose bodywt. I have never taken in more than 300 grams of protein a day nor would I unless I was 250 lbs. plus. That much protein is not going to be utilized by an average 180-220 lb. man and can cause some serious problems for your body. Why you would want to eat that much protein is beyond me unless you are a very big man. I think you need to quit reading what elite bodybuilders say they do and do some serious research on nutrition. I say this out of concern for your health not to belittle you. If you want to have a great well defined physique you need to pay particular attention to your nutrition, training and recuperation. Like I say my goals are not in bodybuilding but I have used the same diets that strength athletes and bodybuilders use with great success. I am a middle aged man yet I can put on 20 pounds of pretty lean mass in a relatively short period of time and gain some serious strength. On the other hand I can cut and maintain or even gain strength using good nutrition. If it works for an old fart like me it will most assuredly work for you younger guys.
Just my two cents worth, good luck.

400mg does seem a little much but it would depend on if he is taking AS or not. Some good suggestions here. If your struggling to down 250g of protein a day by eating, realistically you wont be able to consistently eat 400g a day. Just cause one guy can it doesnt mean everyone can. I used to take a lot of shakes and they were great and I always got maximum gains. There is nothing wrong with it IMO.

Cutting down the amount of liquid in your shakes is a good way to go as previously mentioned. No need for 500ml of milk with every shake, it will just make you bloated. I wouldnt even use milk and use water instead with some good fats mixed in.

The digestive enzyme in the pineapple is called Bromelain and you can buy it cheap as chips in a tablet form. Though taking too much can cause problems.

I've been consuming around 300g prot and can notice a differance from 220g I was taking. Muscles stand out more but also seem to be getting alittle spare tire around midsection again @ 300g. Just to much food I think, for an old guy like me who's not as active as I was in my 30's..
