Hey, I'm box, just want to introduce myself.

I've been on a mission to get back into shape. Back in college I was a 6'3" 180lbs lean and healthy athlete. A decade and a half of bad habits later had me pushing 340lbs.

For the past 2 years I've been taking Test C through my urologist with very positive results.
For the past 2 months I've been taking Reta and going to the gym 5 days a week for even better results.
I'm now down to 270 after losing 30lbs in 2 months, and I've gained a lot of muscle on top of that so I've definitely shed a ton of fat.

-My goal is to shed another 30+lbs while steadily building/sculpting muscle.
-Also I'm planning to get surgery remove excess hanging skin and gynecomastia that I've had my whole life, and I have concerns with losing muscle during the recovery time.
-I'd also like to be able to have children at some point, and I've been taking Test c for the past couple of years. I've ordered a kit of HCG that I'm waiting on.

Those are my goals - maintain the weight loss and muscle growth that I've been achieving, do whatever possible to withstand post surgery recovery in the near future, and try to regain fertility (either while on Test with HCG or if necessary then find a way to cycle off of Test).

I'd like to get professional advice and testing for it, but going through my health plan is so tedious. My PCP is too old and oblivious to glps or anything else. It's clear everything he says is to deflect from the fact that he doesn't know what he's talking about.
Then I've been waiting for months just to get a referral to an endocrinologist, and I get the feeling that whenever I finally do see them they'll only say "stop taking the test" and have no clue about HCG or how to cycle off, etc.

Obviously I'd like to be educated on safe and affordable sources, but I'm also looking to get info on what works from people who actually have experience.

Thanks for reading, nice to meet everyone!

Hey dude! Welcome! Sounds like you’re on a good mission. I think your endo will know what HCG is and they may tell you to stop the test. But there are many ways of going about fertility including HCG, HMG, and enclomiphine. For me HCG worked very well to keep my fertility. In 2022 my wife and I decided we wanted to have kids so I told my doc and they started by increasing my HCG 3x. Within months I reached optimal motility and sperm count and we got pregnant the first time we tried with my wife ovulating. My daughter is now 2! Now to be fair I’ve always been on HCG since I started trt in 2020. So regaining fertility may take more work than my experience. I’d just be honest with your doc about your goals. And check around with different docs for various opinions. If you can.
