HGH IGF1 Blood Test

IGF 1 blood test in the morning after 1.5 months of HGH 4 IUs a day, split morning and evening. I upped it to 6 IUs (not because of this test). I would’ve assumed that my levels would’ve been higher? Is it worth getting another test? I ran a Growth hormone serum test with this hgh and it came back very high so I know it’s not bunk. Online calculators say my z score is only about 1.5 or so

For reference, I’m 29 years old and male, probably 15/16% body fat and taking TRT+

That's not really a bad score, your only taking 4 IU, what did you expect

Individual response is highly varied and it also depends on timing - how far out was this from when you actually took your last dose? And yes, you should re-test with any meaningful increase in dose. If you're planning to go up more, you could increase and then re-test.

Edit: Just realized you also said split dosing. Why are you splitting at that low of a dose? A bolus dose is probably going to result in a higher number.

Who's GH are you running? How long from pin to test? Split dosing probably a factor. And only 1.5 months and 4ius.

Running a mix of HYB, WWB, and I’ve got QSC on hand. I think I pinned an hour or so before the test, but I thought IGF was based on average levels over a while anyway?

I do split dosing to minimise sides, and then get different benefits, nighttime dose for sleep/recovery, and morning dose for the lipolysis while I fast/cardio in the morning on the weekends

So the benefits of a Bolus dose are better than the benefits of split dosing? Because I know an IGF score isn’t the end all thing that causes benefits from HGH, because there’s so many factors, so I’m still getting benefits with only a ‘decent’ IGF score right?

That's why splitting the dose is not the best idea
Oh I get you, my bad. I regularly take fasting glucose levels and if anything I’m on the low end. I’m getting a full blood panel test in a couple weeks which includes HbA1c but my diet is pretty on point so I really don’t think I’m insulin resistant. Also helps that I’m cutting at the moment so my carbs are relatively low. I also found online that can cause IGF to be a bit lower than expected

It's best just to do your HGH in one bolus, whether that's in the morning or at night that's entirely up to what you're trying to accomplish, for some people taking it at night messes up their sleep , while some people it may improve their sleep, it's just a thing you have to figure out for yourself , everybody's different and responds differently,

But why is it better in one shot? I’ve just some googling and all I can see is that split dosing results in more GH pulses which can mean increased IGF? And then also the chance of less sides like carpal tunnel etc

Higher dose creates higher peak of hgh , produces a stronger anabolic signal and some people see a slightly higher IGF1 from one bolus, again it all boils down to the individual everybody's different so there's no one size fits all

True. I don’t really mind the multiple pins a day, and I’ve upped to 6 IUs total. Just difficult to tell if it’s being as effective as it could be knowing that HGH is a long game and is not nearly as impactful as AAS

What was your natty igf?

Maybe this is a great response compared to that

Or maybe you already had a high igf, and you are just shutting your natural production down with 4iu for a lower result than you already had.

Yeah I fucked up with this and didn’t get a natty level tested. I just did the growth serum test to see if it was bunk. I hadn’t planned on testing IGF until I found out the risks of going above a z score of 2.5/3… would it be useful to drop hgh to be able to test my natty level?

You've only been on for 1.5 months so yeah you could absolutely pause for four weeks or so and then take an IGF one test again if you really are going to be serious about taking growth hormone for a long period of time

Got about 1.5 years worth in supply for 6 IUs so do wanna maximise it!
