HGH for Marathon/Triathlon

Any endurance athletes out there with experience using HGH for an iron man or triathlon? Competing in 3 of each this year and considering giving HGH a shot. I’m already on TRT and considering adding HGH in to aid recovery. Adequate sleep is hard to come by with a 3 month old at home.

FWIW: I’m not competing in these events to win and will finish far from the podium, no risk of being tested.

perhaps short term to heal specific injury but def messing with blood sugar is going to potentially decrease endurance. EPO is what u want ;)

suppose maybe holding more water may be helpful, but from my limited understanding u want to keep energy stores in your body not decrease them..

also dont want to use it long term as endurance athlete as higher likelihood your heart will grow...

Do you think a low dose (1.5 iu) would still cause blood sugar issues? For what it matters, I had a blood test done 2 months ago and my HGH was .2

I'm not an endurance athlete but an athlete and body weight matters for me. My suggestion is to find your sweet spot for TRT and hgh that give the most benifits and ideal body composition/total body weight. Dial that in first and use those doses as your "in season" or competition dose. Off season during a training phase up the doses or add other compounds (light blast) to take advantage of increased anabolism/recovery then you cut back to in season dose before performances to drop water. This is what works for me but there is no "correct" method.

The right dose varies for everyone so you will have to experiment. Likely TRT at about 100 - 150 per week and HGH about 2 - 2.5 unit per day.
Even simpler is to find your TRT + HGH sweet spot and just stay there. You will likely see a great benifits and it's much simpler to follow.

There is a thread here of a Marathoner who logs his cycles and experience. He uses higher dose Test and intermittent stanozolol with great success. His approach is not what I would think to do for distance running but it shows how there is no correct method that works for everyone. Hit the search bar and you'll find it.

Edit: If worried about blood glucose get yourself a home testing device then you can test yourself whenever you want. Or test HA1c through a lab.

This is very helpful, thanks man! I’ve been on TRT for 3 months now and I’m beginning to get it dialed in. About to lower my dose a little to 120mg/week. I put on some serious muscle mass the first few months of being on TRT and it has slowed me down substantially. I’m looking forward to giving HGH a shot simply to allow myself to train harder/more frequently.

I've done 1 run with GH and tinkered with dosage. At 3.5ish IU a day I liked the way I looked but held to much water for my liking. In the future I'll do max 2.5 off season and 2 on season. 2 gave me a noticable recovery boost but not to much extra weight. At this point though I prefer CJC DAC + mk 677 in the off season. I really like the combo for training but makes me to heavy for performance. 2 IU GH isn't magic but the recovery benefits are noticable enough to be worth it.

I check HA1c a couple times a year. 2IU GH I use no glucose support. With the CJC DAC + MK I use berberine and Ceylon cinnamon. A1c has been stable.

The recovery benefits you’re talking about - were you able to train 7 days/week at close to 100%? How much sleep did you get?

For everyone’s reference, here’s my HGH level from a blood test two months ago. This was the same blood test that reflected testosterone in the 200’s. I’m thinking some HGH will substantially help my recovery.

At my age and the type of training I do, no. It would be counter productive even if I could. My training generally requires being near fully recovered for high intensity efforts of specific muscles and tendons. I train 3 or 4 days a week, other days stretching and active recovery.

I know very little about running and triathlon training though. I would imagine one could train endurance daily if the volume and intensity is dialed correctly.

GH isn't magic. It's not going to double your recovery speed. But it works and is noticable. It's a "long game" compound. The gains stack slowly over long periods of time.
