No shit, in the last decade, had the minimum wage increased at the same rate as executive compensation, it would be at 20/hr. I read that on Money.com.

We must eliminate the gap between the rich and the poor and the only way to do that is with isolationism and rampant socialistic policies. Robin Hood is an inspiration to us all.

The opportunities are limited by the collusion between enormous corporations and foreign governments. You are able to buy 100 dollar sneakers because the corrupt governments of foreign countries accept money and other forms of compensation from big corporations to keep education, opportunity, freedom and other luxuries enjoyed by the bourgieous West out of their country. People pay $100 for sneakers/shoes? The last paid I bought were about $50. I think the only pair Ive ever bought that were over $100 was a pair of Doc Martens about 5 years ago. What happened to the true ghettos and the amount of culture and pride there used to be? Today, people grow up trying to compete materialitically with their neighbors. There is little sense of community and it seems today that everyone secretly hates each other.

IMO, if we still lived in segregated ghettos than there would be much more pride in the communites and much more respect for it. All we have been told is that segregation is wrong but if people don't respect the neighborhood they live in, their homes will turn to shit. I guess this is my experience from inner city living. I've moved from deep in the city to on the border because the neighborhood I grew up in was getting too rough. However, if we were to protest and fight to keep the people who were destroying it out, we would have been looked at as hate mongers. Instead we have to sacrifice what was a beatiful part of the city just to save face.

It makes perfect sense and I totally agree with you! I do not believe that we should all become (to use Grizz's descriptions) Mullatoes or Guatonkeys. Different cultures and ethnicities share certain commonalities that no other group does. It is unique to a certain group. ONce that is "tainted", the uniqueness is gone.

YOU can't become a Guatonkey, Kayz. You're already a hillbilly. Your kids could be Guatonkeys, but you're not cool enough to pull Guatemalan ass, so really they couldn't. The best they could be is regular, run of the mill mulattoes. Sorry to crush your dreams.

While I'm a huge fan of hanging out with my own "kind", I do so by cultural methods and not by ethnic measures. Just picking other white guys to hang out with does not assure me of hanging out with people "like myself". Because, you see, there are 50 different kinds of white guy and I hate hippies, white trash, ultra-trendy people, sissies, most fat people and any other number of configurations of whitey. I prefer a certain kind of whitey.

Similarly, if a colored person fits into this category of people I enjoy hanging out with, then I will hang out with them. However, though I may have brown girlfriend and black step children, for the most part, I hate large cultural segments of those populations. The day one of my Afrimalans walk in da do' afta skoo and say, "'sup, niggas!" is the day I stop liking them. Or, if they lean towards the Hispanic half and pick up one of those faux accents that they feel they need so much, then I will stop liking them, too.

In other words, if you fit into the "middle class white" cultural category(even if you're not middle class or white) then I like you and we can hang out. If you chose to align yourself with a culture that doesn't value education, hard work and proper child-rearing, then I dislike you and we can't hang out.

The reason I use cultural distinctions and not ethnic is thus. So what if I'm Irish and the Irishes did X historically. I had nothing to do with it, thus I can take no pride or shame in said action. Who gives a flying fuck if blacks were enslaved until 200 years ago. I sure don't. What's that have to do with the negroes of today? Absolutely nothing!

Ethnic-pride and identity, beyond a mild happiness that you weren't born black(or whichever ever color you're happy your not), is a form of collectivism. You take pride in the achievements of other individuals who have nothing in common with you other than ethnicity.

At the same time, I do feel that there is some ethnic gene or something that predisposes one to exhibit certain traits commonly associated with that ethnic group. This is why, even without being raised in a strong ethnic culture, nearly every Italian in the world can't tell the truth for shit.

And certainly, then, you intend that Irishes only breed with other Irishes and Polishes with other Polishes, Lithuanians with other Lithuanians, Mexicans with Mexicans, Congoans with Congoans, S. Africans with S. Africans and so on and so forth. Certainly you don't just mean no coloreds and whites breeding.

There are distinct characteristics for all Europeans. We sure wouldn't want some kid with a German mother and an Irish father. Shit, he'd be a red head who complained about everything. That wouldn't preserve the uniqueness of either ethnicity. That would be wrong. Right?
