Help my keto

I understand the term rolling for sure. Ya nuts ain't gonna help very much but peanut butter does just make sure to look at the labels usually crunchy has less carbs aim for less the 4g carb per serving in anything you eat. And know the difference between net carbs and total carbs. I am also not is sure how accurate your TDEE is if your claiming extremely active as that was the same TDEE as my previous 110lb girlfriend.

You aren't checking insulin but ketones you use a diabetic meter that has ketones as well. It'll run you about 130bucks for a meter and 100 strips.

Tdee from 16 years old I'm 25 now, it could very well be higher. Also weighted 110 lb LOL. Some days after excercise, according to my fitbit, my calorie is in the negative due to deficit. Next your gonna tell me this is bad :)

I cannot express my gratitude enough

Yea the butter is gonna help you more than the nuts. I just recomended the nuts because when I go low carb I'll have eggs, nuts, meat, avocados all day each meal and It works great but I prefer to be on carbs.

Ya so finding your current TDEE is crucial and a calorie deficit due to exercise is better then calorie deficit from just not eating a lot but either way you'll lose weight just the first way you'll look good when you lose weight the other way not so much.

Yes hat is better ratios for sure to get into keto. Now for your fats what are you using to get the fats. Most of it should come from your meats, olive oils, coconut oils, Avacados and cheese

Okay

Burgers. Bacon. Avocado. Natural peanut butter. Lettuce. Cheddar cheese. Steaks. Spinach. Cheese dog.

I used olive oil to cook with. And I completely forgot to check on coconut products. Next go around.

I also had some chicken because I don't believe in wasting food. Added mayo to keep my fat up. Trying to work mayo out of meal plan since I purchased better options including some Walden farms dressing.

Pretty happy. Drank about 3 gallons of water. Glad to hear I'm pointed in the right direction.

@sean ashley
What's up brother, you are killing it with those ratios.
@RodgerThat hit it on the bat. 65% fats. Any less and your body will go into "glyconeogenesis"
I feel awesome off a keto diet.... but Im not doing a 3 hour shark tank sparring session anymore.
I used to do MMA. 7-2 at 185, but I walked around at 200ish.
Are you at the 135 class? Most those fools are walking around at 160... insanity if you asked me haha.

But if I were you, I would definitely keep some carbs in your day.
Take your bodyweight in KG and consume that amount in grams of carbohydrates before you go roll around. Trust me, you will perform a bagillion times better, and your body will burn through it in no tome, especially if you roll gi.

Good luck brother!!

Keep drinking tons of water and everything is looking on point. Make sure to always check packaging of items too some pre made burgers have carbs in them that's why I make my own.

Unfortunately if he eats 60g of carbs before he goes rolling he would be on a TKD and that's not going to give him nearly the same results as a true keto because he will be bouncing from glucose to fats and sometimes the rebound is 6+ hours. OP if you are looking to get lean stay with a true keto if you enjoy eating keto and want a bit more performance for an hour do as leancuisine said and eat some carbs preworkout

Ah finally someone I can relate to! I only Train competition jiu jitsu so can't relate so much to mma however I've attended many mma schools and always have something to learn.

FOR a competition I roll at 139.9 but that's a huge water weight cut and some serious fasting. I'm really trying to get away from it, I was armbarred at a pan ams and gave up 1st place and really feel it was my nutrition. If I had that little bit, I could have gotten my elbow passed, but I was so gas, I have to sit in the bullpen malnurished. Plus I need a healthy way to keep my beach body ;) I live in a tourist place on the water. My training partners and I walk and float around 150 to 155. Winter I swell up from carb intake. Some of them do some of them dont.

I will say while it's a lower weight class we stay in really good shape as most small jiu jitsu guys do and I walk with visible abs but I want that tone 9-10% abs. Keto spoke to me cause I've seen other people have success and two of our BB's stand by it.

Unfortunately I have to agree with rogerthat, hes on the same wavelength aND knows his stuff. No carbs has given me quite a bit so far and I think I'm gonna stay away. I hate gi but it's mandatory that I do some so I rock the 240 gram otms cause its as good as I can get to nogi.

Is that an amateur or professional record?

Thanks for stopping by!

I'm having no energy issues on the mat without carbs. I was for a few days but I'm good now! I fact my workout is better than its ever been before often rolling at 60% for the entire 2 hour open mat.

Last time I weighed 150 I was 15 and sub 7% bf

I'm a small dude. Has advantages. Lots of small crawlspace here lol

Our original BB is 120lb currently what do you think of that. It's his profession... spends 8 hrs a day basically doing cardiovascular and endurance.

Last post here, can someone inform me of how to keep a daily journal here? Not steroid related just a diet log so it's open to feedback etc etc.

This is my favorite forum and like to keep it all in one place
